What's your price range?

I picked up a TLR-3 from Primary Arms and it was the least expensive place I could find.

Default M&P rail lights

I've been debating with the S&W Micro 90 or the Streamlight TLR-3. I'm leaning more to the TLR-3 just on the amount of good reviews. This is for my 40C. I have heard the larger lights such as the TLR-1s won't fit the M&P compacts.

Default Streamlight TLR-4

I ended up with the Streamlight TLR-4. Picked it up yesterday at my favorite local gun shop. I paid $132 out the door for it. This is almost identical to the TLR-3 except it's a bit brighter(110 lumens compared to 90 on the TLR-3) and it has a red laser built in. Overall quality is great, it fits my 40C nice and snug with no wiggle.

I was about to purchase the TLR-3 for $80, but I up sold myself to the TLR-4 that just arrived. My dealer told me he had ordered a few TLR-4's a few months back and they just arrived. We unboxed the TLR-4 and compared it to the TLR-3(wanted to make sure it was gonna fit). Almost identical dimensions, exception to the the small laser bulge at the bottom.

I patiently waited til it got dark to feel and try it out. Had it mounted to my M&P 40C(haven't tried it on anything else yet). The 110 lumen LED light is very clear and bright. I can easily light up every room in the house and those long hallways. I took it outside and again, easy bright light out to about 40 feet where my block wall is. Having the laser is a nice plus as well.

I'll come back and post a few pics!

AZ115,

How easy is the TLR-4 to slip on or off as needed? Thinking about getting one now for MP9 and just putting it on the nightstand to pop on as needed, till money in bank lets me get MP9C.

Any info on battery life or laser fade would be greatly appreciated. Firm believer in truth in advertising, just want to hear if the hype matches the output.

TY for the review so far.

Both the TLR-3 and the TLR-4 are very easy to slip on and off. They are very well designed for this. No cumbersome parts to fall off and so on. Battery life is listed at about 1.5 hours continuous use. Also, it is not heavy as the pictures may suggest.

And finally a few teaser pictures with the Streamlight TLR-4 mounted on my M&P 40C.

I have a TLR-3 I bought for the 40c. TLR-4 was not yet available. Excellent fit on the c. I moved it onto my Beretta 90-Two when it went on nightstand duty, but it's a longer stretch to get to the switch, so I use my support hand. Now the Beretta has a 5" barrel so I suppose it would work better on a FS M&P. It also fits great on my PPS.

I went to the gun show with my 9c to try out lights. I looked at lights that were $100+ and ones that were less than $50. I ended up with one that was $45 and I talked him down to $35. It is easy to put on and off and easy to turn on and off. It comes with 4 disks that you can put on that change the color of the flashlight. I know that it is not the best, but it works.

I have a TLR-3 that I easily change from one pistol to another. It is currently on my HD pistol I keep in a SpeedVault discretely mounted in my bedroom. I was a little concerned with its the polymer construction, but haven't had any issues. It's bright, reliable and easy to operate. It's also relatively compact and doesn't overwhelm the pistol when it's mounted on my M&P9C. I don't have any experience with other compact weapon mounted lights, but I don't feel a need to try others either.

Crimson Trace cmr 202 fits, it's a little over $100 but I'm having problems finding a AIWB holster for my 9c and this light (or any light). I'm carrying the FS 9 with an x300u which fits my Sawyer Concealment just fine.

i have the tlr4 on my 9c and like it. easy on/off for home and away. Good location for on/off switches. I can use my off hand thumb to hold the momentary on switch on or you can turn it on full time too.

something a bit more compact like viridian have some holster compatibility but they are more expensive too.

My TLR3 is back at Streamlight 'cause one of the base rails broke. Mind you this light came back from the company because I had problems with the first one. I regretted buying this particular model. I do have 2 TLR1 model that I'm very happy with.
