Favorite holster for M&P?
I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new full size Talo M&P40. Until then, I'm trying to figure out what kind of holster everyone prefers. I'm no stranger to carrying a full size gun, my current EDC is a 5" 1911. I have also carried a 4046 concealed before.
So, what is your favorite concealed carry rig for the M&P? Pictures are always welcome.

Roommate had the crossbreed supertuck. He loved it. I have a Shielded holster and i love it. it was cheap ($50 bucks shipped) yet very well made and i recieved it 4 days after i ordered it. when its time for me to order a OWB holster, ill probably go with shielded again.

I put my mp40FS in a Galco inside-the-pants holster (WB 472). It fits very nicely and feels good even riding in the car or sitting in an easy chair.

I have an M&P 40c. I love my remora holster but when I feel like I need the pistol to be more secure I use a High Noon Holsters Mr. Softy holster. Both of these holsters are on the cheap side ($30 shipped for remora, $40ish for HNH) but they are the most comfortable and easiest to conceal for me.

Fobus Evolution on my left hip, Fobus double mag holder on my right.
I'm a bigger guy, so IWB doesn't really work for me.

Just a cheapo Uncle Mike's. Works great for me although I don't carry all the time either.

Different need
As it's more practical to carry either my G19 or Kahr P9, I simply needed a holster to transport my M&P .45 ACP to and from the police range where I'm a member of a club with range access. For this, I bought a universal nylon shoulder holster online for a mere $10.00 plus shipping. The holster is so nicely made that I'm surprised it sells for such little money. Sure, it's not a Galco or High Noon but it serves the purpose. As I like to keep my nightstand gun holstered, I merely disconnect the holster from the harness as the rig comes equipped with those nylon fork-like releases.

Open carry in Tennessee so my MP 40 Pro 4.25" barrel rides in a Galco Concealable.
Doesn't print much under a tee shirt or a golf shirt that isn't tucked in.

Right now it's a galco soft leather holster for the M&P 9c. I'm thinking about getting a Dale Fricke Archangel (have 2 already), or a Garret Ind. Silent Thunder Slim. Can't decide....

I have a N82 tactical holster en route. After searching I found this looked like a quality holster for a great price. What sealed the deal for me is that I can use it with my M&P 9c and my Glock 19.

I have a Tommy Theis holster currently. Got it about a month ago. It's very much like the cross breed holsters but less expensive, quicker turn around, and a lifetime guaranty from Tommy who produces them all himself. Oh and the customer service is first rate. He responds to emails very quickly.

I like the Galco triton for full size or compact. I also like the Galco tuck n go for the compact because it rides very low on the waistline.

Crossbreed for me. I carried 3913 for a couple years in a Crossbreed SuperTuck and it was the most comfortable holster I ever used. I purchased one for my M&P9 before the gun ever arrived. For my range work, I purchased the Blade-Tech holster from S&W that comes with their carry and range kit. This works very well for that purpose.

But well worth the money (and the wait). If you carry a gun on a daily basis, how much money will it cost you to wear out the cheaper holsters? Plus, if you order a custom rig and find you don't like it, I doubt you'll lose any money offering it up on Ebay.

I just purchased the Galco King Tuck. A buddy of mine has one for his M&P and loves it. He also has the crossbreed and gave it to his brother because he thought the GKT was a better holster. Will let you know when I get mine. Only $50 from Midway.

You didn't mention OWB or IWB. If your willing to wear what it would take to cover a OWB. I'd have to suggest a Milt Sparks Axiom. I don't have an actual Axiom myself but have built a couple in the Axiom style for my carry guns. Here's a pic of the one I made for My Commander size 1911...I also made one for my full Size M&P and it pulls that in just at tight. I can get away with just a looser fitting T-shirt with the 1911 and this holster. The double stack thickness of the M&P does require a bit more then a T-shirt though.

It took me a long to to find the right one. The Raven Concealment Systems Phantom holster is my favorite and one of the best I've used. Is a modular holster where you change the belt hardware and go from an OWB to an IWB holster.

I've got a Shielded holster for my Glock 19 and while I like the holster in general it does have a serious design flaw. On my particular holster (I'm not sure if they are all this way) the sight channel is only cut to approximately the ejection port. When drawing if I don't break my wrist downward and put an exaggerated angle on my drawstroke the front sight hangs up and sticks in the holster.

I've tried quite a few holsters for my M&P 9C. I've carried it in a Peter's Custom Holster for years now. I haven't found anything better.

I like the Garrett Industries hybrid Kydex+leather holsters. Silent Thunder STX for OWB CC and the Fusion for IWB CC. Totally silent draw and won't mar the slide or finish. Very comfortable, as well.

^^ This^^ and you can order the Raven soft loops and use the same holster for either IWB or OWB. All RCS products have a lifetime guarantee that follows the product. They have an actual factory, not made out of someone's basement.

I've just had my M&P 9c for a few weeks, but have already purchased 3 holsters. My DeSantis Sof-Tuck IWB is the most comfortable. It also conceals very well with just a golf shirt.

I carry my M&P's in a Safariland 18 IWB. I had a Galco KingTuk,it was ok, but not as good as my Theis for my 4003. So I returned it. In order to get it to sit as low as I wanted the kydex was below the top of my jeans enough that they covered the kydex, making it a 2 handed reholster.
Here's my Safariland with my FS M&P

Another vote for the Theis holster. Great quality, price, and customer service. I also have a Remora. It is a good product as well at an economical price. The Theis is more comfortable for me and I use it more often.

I have a comp tac mtac holster and I really like it. Very similar to a crossbreed which my brother has and he really likes his. I can't say one is better than the other.
As it's a IWB, it does it's job but isn't a purdy leather holster like the galco concealable.

+1 on Blackhawk SERPA. But I carry a FS .40 everyday w/a Badge. Off Duty? A new Sheild 9, of course. Fobus PPS paddle or a Uncle Mikes nylon Pancake. Early style. They work really well for nylon, but you can't get long term wear out of them. Nylon comes apart from abrasion.

I have a Crossbreed Supertuck on the way for my M&P9 and have a Serpa holster for the Glock 20/21 that also works for the M&P. That thing is hard to conceal so for now I'm using a DeSantis Speed Scabbard which I find to be a very comfortable OWB holster option.
