Let me state categorically that I love my M&P 9c and the way it performs but I would say that S&W seems to have a problem with their Trijicon Night Sights. This is the second front sight that I have lost out of my M&P 9c. I have only had this pistol since the end of march. Has anyone else had this particular problem?��

what do you mean by "lost"? as in the actual site came off the gun or the paint came off the site?

The paint..sorry I wasn't clear on that!

Mine's been fine and I carry it everyday since I got it in January

Trijicon's don't use paint, they use small vials of tritium gas. Trijicon have proven very reliable compared to some other makes, pretty unlucky if you have lost two.

if its missing "paint" then it's not trijicon night sight ....instead from your description you have S&W 3 dot that has been reported to fall out

photo's would help confirm your dilemma never the less bummer about a 2 time MIA

Nope it's Trijicon...Just my bad write up of the problem! I talked to the gunshop I bought it from. Off it goes again to S&W and then I'm giving it to my wife...LOL. Seriously, she's loves it and so do I. She can't handle the trigger pull on her LC9 and this 9c fits her well.

Trijicon HD Sights have a nice ring of photo luminescent paint around the tritium vial on the front post... I would be super bummed if the paint were flaking off mine.

I lost the front sight (the tritium insert) on mine at around 200-300 rounds if that.

Sent it to S&W, and got it back quick. they also replaced the extractor... no idea why. lol

It was having problems locking to breech IIRC, and I mentioned it, which got fixed as well. I think they sanded something down. no idea

Hopefully it stays on this time.

my Duty MP9 at the same time has over 1000 rounds, and that one is still in place, but the white paint around the tritium is covered in 'duty' wear, so you can't really see them anymore
