So I finally decided that my first handgun is going to be the M&P 9mm Pro Series....but low and behold I can't find any! Budsgunshop has the 40 but not the 9mm and everyone else is out of stock. I saw that Hyatt Gun Store can do a special order but I don't know much about their reputation. Also will they do an SSE? I live in California btw.
The 9 Pro's are hard to find. I would do a google (or other) search on Smith and Wesson 178010 then start checking web sites and making calls if you really want one. Good luck on your search.
BTW - 178010 is the 5" version, 178035 is the 4.25" version. 5" has FO front and Novak rear, 4.25" has night sights.
I've noticed the 4.25" Pro with night sites will show up more often than the 5" Pro. Bud's had the 4.25" in about 2 weeks ago but you have to be Johnny on the Spot and grab it as soon as it's in. If you have a Bud's account you can add that gun to your wish list and they will email you when one comes in.
Just had my LGS call me and let me know they have one in stock. I'm going to pick it up this afternoon. My advice would let your LGS know your serious and get them to either order it directly for you, or put down a c note for them to call you and sell you the first one that comes through the door. I know I'm not the only guy in the Pacific Northwest looking for one, but I feel like the luckiest one right now!
