Just got my FS M&P 357 this week off of the for sale forum. Also bought a .40 barrel since I have 2000+ rounds of 40 S&W and no 357 sig.
Now if S&W would bring out a 10mm M&P, my Glock 20 will be history.

I still have my beloved Glock 19 and will probably never get rid of it. However the M&P9 I bought a couple months ago quickly became my new carry gun after a single range trip with 500 rounds of flawless ammo. I have a Crossbreed Supertuck on the way for it too!

I didn't dump any platform for the Shield, but I've owned and shot many of the slim 9mm offerings out there and never warmed up to their ergos or triggers. I then rented a Shield at my LGS, went back up to the sales floor and immediately put my name on the waiting list.

A few days later my LGS was having a sale on the FS M&P 9mm so I promtly called them to see if they had any left. They told me "only one more" which had me almost yelling on the phone for them to hold it for me until I got there. I'll be picking it up tomorrow and already have several mags for it on the way. I was thinking of getting another G19 down the line just to have at least one Glock, but the M&P changed my mind. All in all, the FS M&P didn't make me dump a platform, but it kept me from going back to one.

I have dumped everything for the M&P except for my Beretta M9. That is still my favorite pistol ever, just not the one most used anymore.

Well, I did end up getting rid of the PPQ. The trigger on the PPQ is pretty sweet. And the fit and finish is pristine. The M&P is all business though and it just "fits" me better. The grip and muzzle flip of the PPQ caused my accuracy to suffer a bit. I am a fairly new pistol owner and I wanted something I could control better and I found that in the M&P. I actually find the stock trigger of the M&P just fine for range duty. Maybe I will do some work on it, but right now I need to work on my technique. The only thing I don't like about the M&P is the beavertail plastic hunk. I have no idea why it is there, but I don't notice it at all when I shoot.

I do not get rid of any. My collection just keeps growing. I just got a Shield but like all of my firearms, none will replace my favorite EDC for over 20 years. Ruger SP101 3" .357

Picked up a Shield 9mm for the wife last week. I will be her EDC replacing a Ruger LCR which she had trouble using due to the way she had to grip it. I really like the feel of the Shield and might get one for myself. I carry a XDM 9mm with me and a Ruger LCP when I can't carry the SA. Not planning on getting rid of anything as I don't own any Glocks.

I am new to M&P's as I recently purchased a M&P22 and am impressed with it. As an accumulator I will not sell off anything to fund more M&P's. I will definatly be looking at either a .40 or .45 full size M&P in the near future.

The M&P22 is my first polymar framed gun. It has taken me years to warmup to one. The M&P platform looks like one I can live with and enjoy.

Putting my sig p250sc out for sale.Just picked a M&Pc in 9mm Shield was on top of list but none were available, hope second choice is NOT second best. I hear alot of complaints bout the trigger but it seems real nice to me, only have 75 rnds thru it so far

I dumped my 'no handgun platform' for the m&p .40 fs a few months ago and haven't looked back. The only frustration I have now is when looking at the LGS, picking up other types and brands I've noticed none of them feel as good as my m&p. But I am hooked on shooting and thinking my next purchase will be a revolver of some kind. . Or a compact. Or a shield. I'm going to need to a second job to support this habit, I can see that now.

I'm starting to consider selling a couple of my 3rd Gens to fund more M&Ps - didn't think I'd ever say that. The 3913, however, is going nowhere, even if the Shield is now my EDC. The 5906 and 6906 may just get replaced....

Howdy yall,I'm a new guy on the forum. Have to agree with the M&P lovers here. Have a two month old M&P 9mm Pro 5 inch and a new M&P 22 and could not be more pleased with either. Looking forward to shooting IDPA with the 9 and the 22 is just a hoot. Have a favorite 5903 with nightsites that might must have been acccurized the way it shoots at 25 yards. Think I still love both platforms. The M&P is much easier to shoot accurately however.

Can't say I will ever get rid of my 2 3rd Gen Glock 19s because they have been 100% reliable and very accurate despite not being the best feeling grip. After purchasing my Shield, I can say I won't be buying any new Glocks.

Be it Glock's or M&P's they are both good guns. I have a M&P I got off a friend in a tough spot. However S&W's military discount can't touch a blue label Glock price so I am a bit more true to Glock as far as polymer is concurned. Both of them are great guns, I find it hard to put my Glock 22 off to the side.

I shoot the M&Ps well, like them a great deal and other than my very early 40c, have never had a problem of any kind. Cannot say the same for any other platform I've owned. Most of which are long gone. BTW, the 40c problem was a soft mag release, S&W did right and sent the the revised part for free. It's hard to beat S&W's customer service and these guns work great. What's not to like?

Exact same story here. I have a Shield and M&P 9 so far. Of the 3 brands, the M&P is the best by far, IMHO. Each brand required some kind of trigger job. The Apex parts give the best trigger for my tastes and needs. The grip and back strap system on the M&P gets high marks from me. And for me, the M&P just handles better than the others. I'm converted.

Reviving an old Thread!

Had my S&W 459 for 30+ years. Parts getting hard to find. Decided it was time to upgrade. Looked/researched G19, XD9, SR9 and M&P9. Took my 459, mag collection and scorpion holster to a few local gun stores and found one store who really wanted my mint 459. Had to hang with S&W... been good to me for 30+ years! Have some high expectations from my new purchase! Don't think S&W will let me down.

I did, I had the FNH Five SeveN and couldn't find ammo for it so I sold it....

Got it for $1200 and sold it on GB for $2200...

Got the M&P Core, trijicon rmr-6 and All Apex parts and still had a bunch of money left over lol.

Sold my Taurus TCP 738 after stumbling upon a Shield 9mm. While at the range breaking in my Shield they had a used Governor so I called my wife to tell her what I found, she said "you better not come home without it. Then, I was getting a little nervous about the lousy warranty and lack of parts availability for my Tristar C-100 (CZ Clone) so I sold it and bought an M&P 9c, the bonus was it came with 3 mags. All 3 purchases took place within the last 2 months.

I sold my glocks gen3 17, gen2 19, gen 2.5 26, gen3 27, and gen4 23 due to financial problem but both me M&P9 pro and M&P40 carry kit in return. In the pro I installed the apex ram and usb. In the .40, I installed apex sear, usb, and ram. Trigger pull for both are sweet. With that said, I still think my PPQ's trigger is better. PPQ's trigger is a little heavier than both but the trigger pull is very short and I'm very accurate with it. M&P's trigger after changing the sear is short but trigger pull feel is a little longer than the PPQ. I will never sell my PPQ.

You'll find most dropped the Glock for the M&P, some still own Glocks, most of us still respect Glocks as we know they're a very good tool, but we happen to prefer the ergos & grip angle of the M&P better.

Bought my first gun end of last year M&P 22pistol. Have a couple of Mossbergs that I still have. Just sold both of my Kel Tecs Pf9 and P3at just recently. Got a M&P fullsize 9mm Saturday and getting a 9c tomorrow for my carry gun. Love S&W period! And havn't looked back since!

I gave my Glock 23 & 21 duty guns to my son after I retired from armed security & before WI had a concealed carry law. My son offered them back after I got my CCL but I told him they were a gift & I wouldn't take them back. My replacement initially was a Sigma 40VE because that was all I could afford at the time but soon after got an M&P 40 & now I'm waiting for my M&P 40C to be delivered. My son loves the Glocks but since he was issued the M&P 40 by the police department he recommended M&P because after putting 3000 rounds through it at the academy he thought they were a little better than Blocks, er, Rocks, er, Glocks. Mine sure feels better & shoots at least as good.

Kinda wish I still had the G21, though.

I have been a Loyal M&P fan since 09. My first was a 40c then a fs 9 then a fs 45 I just picked up yesterday. Who knows maybe a shield next. Oh yeah I also have a M&P sport too

Gave my SigSauer P229, Glock 23 and Kahr CW9 to my children. Now all my guns are S&W with the exception of a Seecamp LWS32. S&W does not offer a pistol that small.

I sold my Xdm9c and my XDS and made the full switch to M&P. I have a 9 FS, 9c, Shield 9 and .45 FS. Just ordered a CORE 9L as well.

I got rid of my XD's. I haven't gotten rid of anything else because of buying M&P's.

The XD's worked fine, I just like the M&P's better.

I recently bought a Glock 20. It was dirt cheap, and they don't make a M&P in 10mm, so it was justified.

My XD's worked and I liked them, but I like the M&P better. I have been pondering a Glock 20 SF Gen 4 as well, it be an easy choice if they made an M&P chambered in a 10mm

I picked up a 40c and a 357c both this year but I won't be dumping a thing. Everything I own is S&W so I don't have anything to part with!

These are my 1st polymer guns and I like 'em just fine.

I like having brand variety to help offset any single vendor shortages, say for instance, like finding some of the more elusive M&P magazines. So I won't be dumping any other maker from my current crop to go solely in to the M&P line.

That said, I also prefer having a variety of calibers for the same reason. If they have anything left on the shelf, there is a better chance I might be able to use it.
