$422 + $30 shipping + $20 transfer = $472 for a 9mm. LGS has them for $450 + $32 tax, no transfer fee = $482. For the $10 savings, I can buy a couple rounds of 9mm.

419 plus tax
I live in Massachusetts and almost all gun shops have a waiting list for the Shield 9mm. When my name came up I was pleased to pay the 419 as most shops were higher. My state does not have many guns like this on the approved list. The Ruger LC9 is the only other viable choice in this category.

Last night I saw one (.40) at my LGS with a build date and test fire of 3/175 (that's Monday of this week!). I had go go back this morning and make it mine. They had 3 more.
Paid MSRP/449. It was the build date of this week that made me take the plunge plus the fact that I have to send my FS40 back to Smith this week.
All 3 of my LGSs have them in stock at the same price. Most of the build dates were in May on the others.

449 here in CA. It's a steal, considering only LEO can purchase them here in CA and I still had to wait a year to get one. I went with the .40 as I get free ammo from my Dept.

$449+ fees here in CA for my Shield 9. Been waiting a year, searching and searching, but its finally mine. At that price the card just jumped out of my pocket. After this long waiting I would have shelled out $500+. Luckily some people still have values when it comes to prices no matter the market.

Just picked up my first privately owned firearm 9mm version. By the way this is my first post.....
419.96+35.70 tax+25.00 CA DROS APP=$480.65 Out the door for the non-compliant version in California.
Was about to walk out the door when the salesman just so happened to ask if I was LEO. I didn't think to ask for the other version myself, I was all smiles when he pulled one out from the back room. He said CA complaint version's are really extremely hard to come buy.

I traded, three guns that I no longer wanted, for my brand new, 3 day old Shield 9. All told, I had about $500 into the guns, but best I could have sold them for privately would have been around $350-400 probably, so I am not unhappy at all with the trade. Out with the old and in with the new!

I patiently waited for any LGS to get one in at a reasonable price, didn't happen so I used Cope's Distributing and had it shipped and insured to my FFL for $442.74. I am hoping it is more concealable than the 40c I currently carry, just to give me a few more options.

Bought mine 06/10/13 for $420.00 out the door.
Walked in to a newer gun/bike shop in my area and he had a 40 and a 9mm Shield, and .22 long rifle ammo. It was my lucky day to say the least.

Shield 9mm, $425 plus tax. I could have driven and hour each way to a larger LGS and paid $399.95, but figured my time was worth the $25. The store I purchased from had plenty in 9mm and a few 40.

Picking up a second one this week. $370 plus tax. About $400 OTD. And I had to change the sights on a Sig slide for the shop. Probably swapped out a few bucks that way.

I feel bad seeing some people are still having trouble finding Shields. They are like squirrels around here...see them in just about every LGS for 395-399

$399 This past weekend at a gun show. Only 2 left and I got the one never handled still wrapped up in the blue bag in the box. The fired casing was on June 18th.

Haven't paid anything yet.
I'm on the list at 9 gun shops waiting for one to come in. Wish I didn't need a MA compliant one so I could just grab one off gun broker.

What is different than any other model? Less than 10rds, they all should be compliant.

I see Four Seasons has them frequently and D&L in Rhode Island has MA compliant ones a lot. Move north to NH and end that nonsense

Love to see this.
I Have the PM9 and the M&P 9c also and considering the Shield. Would love to see if you think adding the shield is worth it...

Please explain. Since the store pays $325 for a Shield, did he decide to lose money on you, or are you entitled to a LE model which costs the store considerably less? GARY

Found a guy at a gun show selling 9mm for $415. He sold out before I got around to making up my mind about it, but he had more coming in, and since I waited he did $395 + tax ($418.70 OTD). Drove 120 miles to pick it up, but found another local shop with bullets and primers in stock and at normal prices, so it was more than worth the drive.

Prices in Milwaukee Wisconsin:
Gun Shop #1: $530.00 (tried to buy this one but it was gone in under 2 days of arriving to the shop)
Gun Shop #2: $629.00!! :-o
I got mine three days ago in a private sale, lightly used for $475.00
I feel very happy with the price I paid.

Good deal, so you were able to purchase the LE version which has no Fed excise tax built into the cost, & save about $75. You were lucky, as those guns are hard to find. GARY

$380 + tax. Had my name on a list for 9 months, picked it up last Nov. Price had gone up to 399 by then but they honored the original price point at the time of placing the deposit. I have a 9mm and oddly, I got 1 flush mount 9 mag and 1 .40 extended in the box. Never used the extended so never noticed the difference until 6 mos later.

Really hate when a dealer thinks he can use my gun for a display model. If I'm paying for it before it gets delivered, it my property and I don't want it dry fired and racked a hundred times. I won't handle a gun the owner isn't handing me. Guess I'm uptight. So much value is placed on condition I want to be the "guy who did it" when I see the finish scraped off my new gun.
