I don't know where you are in PA, but its the same in Philly suburbs. At least 5 stores were selling them for $440 to $450, its either that or they don't have them in stock. Most are only the .40, and its real hard to find the 9mm. I recently decided to get the .40, since all I own is 9mm and .45 anyway.
Then there is the "well known" store and indoor gun range in my area that has both the 9mm and the .40 Shield in stock, for $560 each.

I ended up ordering one off of Gunbroker last week, just picked it up today. $459 out the door between cost of gun, 2 day shipping and FFL transfer fee. Feel like I didn't do too horribly on it considering they are next to impossible to find and usually priced around that plus tax when they are in stock locally.

Just got my Shield 40 yesterday. Ended up ordering it off of Gunbroker. 380 for the gun + 25 Shipping and 25 in transfer fees so i'm sitting at 430 out the door on mine. Price was actually better then i could have gotten anywhere locally in my area.

Saw a 9mm Shield at the local Farm & Barn about 2 weeks ago for $429. Also saw a .40 at another LGS for $429. Good to see others having an opportunity to get one!

Got my Shield 40 on-line at GunBroker.com. Paid $390 + $22 shipping. With FFL fee of $25, I'm out the door at $437. Had it in my hand within 5 days. Waitlists at LGS's are still long here in TX!

419 + tax at my LGS in Ohio. I wasn't on a waiting list and they said this was the first 9mm to make it to the display cabinet in a very long time. They had finally filled the orders that people had been waiting on.

Yesterday i got a .40 at the gunshow for $400 +tax and police check, $430 total. Saw another for the same price at another dealer.
You couldn't find one this past year, but now I have seen several at LGS, for prices ranging from $439 to $500. Gunbroker has one now for $380 + 25 shipping. At least they are becoming more available.

Lowest at gun show about a month ago was $449 (full retail). Everyone else was all over the place up to $600. From what I heard local outdoor world has been selling at $550. Ended up going home and bought one at the same LGS that was at the show for $449 plus tax and had the nerve to tack on $5 for background check. They did however offer a great deal on night sights at $165 for Trijicons not made for the gun and $45 to install lol.

Bought one yesterday at $449, which is full retail and I was lucky to find it. The gun seems to be as rare as a the white whale on LGS shelves.

Paid $437.00, and got unlimited range time that day for me and my wife. So, if you subtract $60 in range time that it would have cost me...for me and my wife...well, you get the picture. That's what's nice about buying from the range gun store.

wow you guys are lucky
I'm in California and i paid $560 OTD for the privilege of owning a 9mm Shield. That's for the pistol + SSE Fee + DROS.
And I was lucky to get it for that price! I have seen people trying to sell their shields for upwards of $800 for PPT! Jealous of all you people that live in FREE states.

Just bought it at 449.00 could fave got it a Gander for 399 after rebate, but I wanted to support the local shop that sent a lot of time educating me. Still availability is hit or miss so not much in the way of discounts.

You have to be from Wisconsin... Quite a few people in this area call Farm and Fleet (and even Fleet Farm) the local Farm & Barn.
My Fleet Farm in Beaver Dam was holding the Shield they had until the safety notice was resolved. Maybe they will sell it now.

$379 + $25 shipping off of Gunbroker for a brand new 9mm. My FFL transfer fee was $15.
Cheapest I could find in the DFW area was $399 at a LGS with a 6 month waiting list. CTD has a store in McKinney, and one of the guys there told me they get them periodically and sell them for $600. Not sure if that's correct.
