$385 including tax, decided to put in on layaway paying half upfront and rest at the end of the month so I can focus on the wife's pricey birthday gifts.
Didn't necessarily want one with a safety, but I can deal with it.
Excited nonetheless for my 2nd S&W

Bass Pro: $469.99
Just yesterday I paid $379 + tax at a local gun shop

Got another Shield in 40 by trading in a EAA Witness in 10mm. Trade value was $240 and the Shield was $399.
Was happy to take the loss as the Witness was a bear to shoot and had consistent slide lockup and feed issues. Been to a gun smith twice. Enough is enough!!

bought from small local shop
Was going to order from Quantico Tactical and wait for delivery at $391.14 inc tax. Stopped by my small local dealer he just got a couple of 9mm no safety. With my cash discount it was $435.00 out the door that day no waiting and included a Tagua leather BH 3 1010 owb holster...I thought worth it.

Well, looked everywhere online. Found a deal for 348, 10 bucks for shipping, and only 10 for transfer fee at my local FFL. Not a bad deal for my wife's new carry gun...

My LGS had a list price of $375 + tax but after a month of waiting and still no signs of getting any back in. I got impatient.
I found one online $360 FREE Shipping. So I pulled the trigger (PUN VERY MUCH INTENDED! ) Transfer fee will be $25
So I am $385 out the door. It will be here Next week Better off than paying the tax. and my LGS still gets a piece of the pie.

Buds Guns was $369 last week (handgun transfers are about $35 here). Bought mine local for $390+ tax and background check (about $30 total). After my last Buds purchase I prefer to see it before I buy it.

With all the trade-ins they're saying are coming in from people buying G43's,
you should be able to pick up a Shield for ~$250 shortly!
BTW:
I paid $425 otd approximately a year and a half ago.

450 OTD, but I am in CA and my Shield is "off roster". Knowing what I do now about the Shield, and trusting it the way I do, I would pay more.............much more. Best $450 gun purchase I have ever made.

How much did I pay for my Shield?
I just bought my 9mm Shield at a LGS last weekend for $379.95 plus state tax. Most of the dealers were asking $399.95 and some were as high as $459.95.
