Help- with my new m&p 22 pistol.
Hey guys, just picked me up a new m&p 22 pistol for 415 with tax. As I was breaking down the pistol my recoil rod and spring with the buffer fell to the floor. How exactly does the buffer go back to the rod? Open end so the recoil spring goes into it a little or the other way we're the spring doesn't go into the buffer? Thanks for all that reply. Haven't been able to shoot it yet and won't till I know the buffer is placed correctly on the rod, and also need to find some ammo for it.

The spring fits into the buffer. Make sure the rounded part of the recoil rod is downward, or it won't fit all the way into the frame and you won't be able to get the slide back on.

The spring goes into the open end of the buffer just a little bit. Otherwise you will not be able to get the slide to go on fully.

Thanks mikey, for 25.99 looks like a pretty solid good looking sight. I will have to waite a little for the funds to rebuilt as i am ordering an m&P 15 22 in about two weeks. Is putting the new sight on pretty simple or should i have a pro do it?

Thanks, I ordered both sights from Dawson Precision. Much happier with the FO sights than the original ones.

I also have a set of Dawson front and rear FO sights, but I drilled out the front one and put a .060 rod in there. Stands out much better than the .040 that it came with.
