Default TLR-3 on MP9c

Anyone have it? I looked at some pics, and even though it's a compact light, still looks little bulky.

how do you like it? Thinking about throwing a light on mine

Got the TLR-2 on my Duty MP9 and it works very well.

Default I have a TLR-4 on my M&P 40C

Nice set up and works great. The TLR-4 is 110Lumens plus it has a red laser. I almost purchased the TLR-3 for $80 but upsold myself to the TLR-4. They are almost identical except the TLR-4 is a bit brighter and has the laser.

Here's a link to a recent tread:

Light for m&p 9c

I am in the same boat regarding the TLR-3/4. I am not yet sold on them based on some internet reports of the plastic breaking. Is this folklore or is there some basis to reports of plastic failure in the area of the mount?

I have the 3, got it before the 4 was available. 90 lumens is BRIGHT at 2AM. Fit was good, stronger than the plastic would suggest. It comes with multiple mounts, so I can move it between my 40c, Beretta, Walther, etc. today I'd spend the extra $ for the 4 to add the laser.

IMHO its the best light currently available for the 9c, though there is truth to them breaking. Depending on which type of holster and amount of use. My brother had gone through at least 1 brokern TLR3 on his 9c which is his EDC. He uses it quite a bit at the range as well. Until somone comes out with one with a better (non polymer)mount this is the best available. Surefire is reported to be close to finishing a compact light. Retention for the 9c almost completely goes to the TLR3 and the mount thats why it breaks with a lot of use. Streamlight has always stood behind its products though.

I have a TLR3 on my sigP250 w/c is my EDC and gets a ton of range use along with my M&P'9fs. It hasnt broken as of yet but the retention in a kydex holster on that setup is 50% light and 50% gun. on the M&P9c it looks more like 75% light.
