Default Dual Recoil Spring for M&P9c?

As I have been reading all the threads about the new Shield and I noticed it had a dual recoil spring which appears to be similar to some of the Glocks I've seen. I was curious if this has a huge impact on recoil management and if so do you think S&W will make a dual recoil spring for the other M&P's already out there. Thoughts?

Those are some very good questions that I'd like to know also.

I've been doing searches trying to just find a lower spring weight for the M&P9C as an option for shooting minor 9mm reloads reliably. I don't own a M&P9C yet, but I tried one with an X-Grip a few weeks ago and really liked it. One locally just came up two days ago with only 50 rounds fired for $400, but had to pass because really want an option for a lower spring weight like you get with the M&P9 full size (4.25) or 5" long or Pro models. If S&W or an aftermarket company comes out with a dual spring option, that would be even better.

Well I guess we could always buy that DPM aftermarket recoil spring system. That uses a 3 spring system, you can also change out the regular recoil spring with that using Wolf 11,13,15# and so on. Of course since it is 3 springs I"m sure that if you reload you may have to use a stronger or lighter one than what others use since it does use 3. At least that would make sense assuming that it works very well. I haven't researched it enough though, just copied and pasted a few things in my M&P Accessories word doc.

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna look into this and see if there's something worth buying to give a shot. I spoke with a guy at a gun shop and he said those dual recoil springs are designed to take the stress off the frame but wouldn't do much for recoil. Not sure if that's true but thought that was interesting.
