Default Holy Shield Batman!!!!!!!!

Heh......

Ok, so I bought a 9mm Shield the day they were released!
I have owned the big "G" for 20 years, was tired of...The big "G" NOT listening to its LOYAL (to a fault) public...

I had a few M&P's already and while the ergonomics are the best for me of any handgun I have ever owned, the trigger left a lot to be desired for me. So when I heard the news about the Shield and its "improved" trigger, I had to take the plunge...

Best decision I ever made and the best handgun I have ever owned IMHO.
Great trigger, puts the big "G" to shame there, awesome size and unbelievable concealability.
Buuuuut...alas, I can leave nothing alone, so I took the Apex plunge.

OM freakin G!!!!!!
I cannot believe the difference the Apex DCAEK made in this already great gun! Trigger is smooth as silk, crisp break and talk about trigger reset! I think I am most impressed with the NEW lack of trigger upset. The break on the trigger was good before but allowed for some front site shaking when it broke, now, literally NOT ONE BIT.
Front site is stable as if you never pulled the trigger. Installation was seriously easy though the trigger pivot slave pin they provide doesn’t fit the smaller hole on the Shield, was still a simple install, just used a smaller punch to align the trigger pin with the spring.
All I can say is that the Shield is a fantastic little gun right out of the box, with the Apex, I don’t know how it could be improved.

KUDOS to Smith and Wesson for giving the public what they were asking for and KUDOS to Apex for creating such a great product, it’s nice to feel like you get your money’s worth when you buy something and the Shield and the Apex DCAEK both fit that category.

At $89.95 per those APEX kits are pretty salty. Any deals out there? If purchased through an FFL or gunsmith is there any discount? Any deal if buying 3 or 4?

Not sure about deals or group buys, might be worth looking into. A lot of companies will work deals for forum folks but not sure if Apex does.

I purchased directly from Apex, and honestly, for the results, that is an awesome price! IMHO

You might try Eastex Shooting Supplies... here is a link. They have the best prices I have found on Apex kits. I have had great service from them.

Wait until you get it in the mail and see what you are getting, lol...just a few bits of metal and plastic that fits in a small envelope. Whoa does it make a difference though! The trigger is as smooth as glass...
