Help! Apex sear in Shield
I am trying to install the Apex hard sear in my Shield and have no idea how to reinstall the 2 pins and spring that holds the sear in the gun. Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

IF the shield assembles the same as the other models, Apex has posted excellent YouTube videos on the installation of their sears. I used them with mine and got it all back together just fine.

I watched the video and I think the Shield is a little different in that it has 2 pins and a spring vs. 1 pin and spring.
Any adventurous Shield owners who want to take their Shield apart? LOL

OK...the 2nd pin and spring didn't go where I thought they should. They go under the sear to keep upward pressure on the rear of the sear. Dang!
Holy cow! The trigger is so much lighter! I can't wait to get to the range and try it out.

Did you install the ultimate striker block also or just the hard sear?

When I had an issue in the past I called APEX and they helped me out over the phone. Great part, great service.

LOL! Although the trigger is pretty good out of the box, there is room for improvement.

Im glad to hear you figured it out. I'll be starring in our Shield install video once the parts are available.
If anybody has trouble installing our stuff in the mean time, feel free to call or email for help.

Yes! Why I took mine the very day I bought it and got the sear replaced, plus other trigger work. I puled out my checkbook to pay and he said to put it away. Called it R&D I now have a crisp 4 lb trigger with an audible reset.

Will that video also be starring the AEK Trigger for the Shield? Any idea when you guys might be releasing one?
I intend on setting up my Shield just like my M&P 9FS, so they feel the same. Just put the AEK Trigger in and it is great.

Hey kamonjj!
Well, it's kind of like Field of Dreams..."Build it and they will come"! LOL!
Glock can't or won't build a single stack 9mm, so here I am.
This is my first S&W semi and I'm very happy with it so far.

The initial video is not likely to have the Shield trigger included.

Beware of the M&P bug, I bet in a short while your one and only M&P will have a sibling.
