Did you use a Delrin punch and hammer or sight pusher? I have both but if it's easy enough with a punch and hammer, I prefer to do it that way.

Gunsmith did it --
I went to one shop because i thought my LGS was out of tfo's -- and they couldn't get the stocks off lol.
My LGS had em and put em on for free !!!
I was told by both stores "they will be wide , you sure you dont wanna wait ?"
No. Put them on --
Looks perfect to me !

Will the sights glow like that if the weapon is stored in a dark location? Does it require exposure to light first to enable the sites to "glow in the dark"?

Looks like he has Model TG131MPT (all three are green). The TG131MPTY has yellow rear sights and a green front sight IIRC.

They do not require exposure to light.

Hi,
New Member. Getting a 9 this week. (waited eons on list)
I was told my a Tru Glo rep that they were too long (TFO's) for the Shield and wouldn't fit right. Looks like your pic says different. Are you shooting with same accuracy since you had TFO's put on?
Thanks

I put tfo s on with a punch......
I used penetrating oil beforehand
It finishes my shield
Make sure you have a file to help fit the front sight.
It should be able to go halfway on before you start
AND....... Masking tape on everthing!

I think what the TruGlo rep was referring to was the length of the front sight, which will change the sight radius. I'm hoping that this will not affect POI too much, because I would love to put a set of these on my new Shield (.40).
Can someone who has TFO's on their Shield and has done a sight-in from a bench rest comment?
Thank you!

I have them on my full size .40 M&P and they're great -- I'm asking specifically for Shield TFO use with bench rest sight-in to find out whether the shortened sight radius from the long fiber optic tube on the front sight has a negative effect on the accuracy.
Thanks!
