Default Re-stick Talon grip on a Shield

I bought a shield last month, and love it. I purchased the Talon rubber grips for it, and really like how they make it feel. I didn't have any problem putting the grips on, but I'm having problems with the grip for the extended magazine - it keeps "peeling up" in back, where the grip overlaps with itself (pics attached).

My question is what type of glue or other adhesive will keep the rubbery grip down so it won't peel up on its own?

Thanks,
Tommato

I didn't use the tape for the extended mag when I put my Talon grips on so I haven't run into that problem. Did you use a blow dryer as the directions say? Not sure if the blow dryer is more help for forming the tape around the grip or if that plays a role in the adhesion process as well.

Have you tried a simple innertube piece? I've used them for years - ugly, but works better than any slip on.

I used to put rubber Decal Grips on an HK USPc for a while... the inside panel would always end up peeling off with IWB carry. SO, while tempted to try this new grip for the Shield - I don't want to have to worry about that happening again...

I got tired of buying sets over and over and replacing just the 1 side...

Yup, followed the directions but it still peels. The good news is the grip on the pistol itself is solid and not peeling at all...

I cut the grip piece on the ends to fit flush together instead of overlapping. So far, so good!! Dave

I've had them on my Glocks for quite awhile. I think the hair dryer is the key to making the grips semi-permanent.

Did you follow the directions on which flap overlaps which flap?

Right hand shooters overlap one way, and Left hand the reverse.

I have the Granulated ones.

Not sure this will do it but I've had good luck with this on re-applying decals on my dirt bike.

The trick is to spray it on and let it dry for a few minutes before pushing the grip/decal back in place. It has to be tacky before you try to make it stick. You can even spray onto a piece of paper then apply with a q-tip. Just don't press the grip back in place until it is tacky. The longer the better.

I did this as well on both my Shield and my Glock.
