Default Fobus for Shield

Got my Fobus for my Shield today. What a great holster. I know it isnt the most concealed but I like having my carry gun exactly where my duty gun is. The gun is so thin, it barely prints with this hilster and its only $27. I will see how it looks with my church clothes tomorrow but so far its perfect. I had a Fobus for my CS9 but it wasnt made for that gun exactly and was much longer than the gun so it showed under the bottom of my shirt.

Got one as well and I also agree it's very comfortable. And for $24 you can't go wrong!

Agree with all of you - The are very comfortable. I have their paddle holsters for several of my Glocks and my S&W M642.

Did you guys order the PPS model and where did you order from BlueBridge? $24 is a good price...

I'd like to try one out. Been looking for a pic of someone wearing a fobus with the shield to see if I can conceal it. The only other paddle I have is the comp-tac and there is no way I can conceal that with the way I dress. (cargo shorts and a shirt) Guessing an OWB paddle might not work out for me

If you have a pic of you wearing it, I would be much obliged.

Just be aware the fobus will wear on the finish of the slide quite a bit, or it did on other pistols I had. Other than that they are great and comfortable holsters.

Is this the new Fobus that's made for the Shield ?

I bought a Fobus for my FS 9 and found out it adjusts reasonably well to my Shield and holds it tight enough not to fall out.

Maddmax, Yes it was made for the Shield model #PPS. Like I said I ordered one for my CS9 and while I liked it it was made for a full size gun and was almost 2 inches longer than the gun. This one for the Shield is a perfect fit. I have nothing against the more expensive holsters and I may get one but I just dont need the level of concealment that requires a IWB holster. I have an Uncle Mikes holster that is IWB that I wore when I worked undercover but I never felt comfortable with it. I may eventually get a nice one but just do not need it right now.

That really answered my question as to which model Fobus holster you got. Thank you for reading my question carefully...

Thanks. Thought the model PPS was the right holster for the Shield.

Thanks ccampo. Like I said,my my FS 9 Fobus works great on the Shield after some fine tuning. But I'd prefer one that's made for the shield, fits perfect and the price is nice too. Thanks again.

My Fobus PPS paddle holster came yesterday. S&W Shield is now included on the package in the area that lists all the pistols it fits.
The Shield fits in there perfectly. I like it. FWIW, they said at Fobus that the non-roto model of the paddle model fits much closer to your body than the roto model.
I have to say that the non-roto model works great, and has the pistol at the FBI 15 degree cant. Works, fits well.
