Thanks guys! Started with the 9 Pro.....loved it and had to buy the 9c a few weeks later.......loved it just as much and wanted something a little different and bought the 45 which is a lot of fun! Hoping to add a Shield 9mm into the mix in the not too distant future.
Stippled grips and parts are from A2 Stippling (highly recommend Aaron's work and products), light on the FS M&P9 Pro is a S&W Micro 90 (not a bad light.....cost is nice and light is effective), and sights on the FS M&P9 Pro and 9c are Trijicon HDs (absolutely love them and very highly recommend them).

The paint application looks good, but that color is not my style.

The work is great. Color is even. I like the blue. It may just be the flash, but it seems a bit too shiny for my liking.

I've never found stippling needed on a poly gun except in a few cases and those guns where sold as-is instead of taking a soldering iron to it. The M&P grip texture along with the ergos is perfect IMO.
I understand the removable grip panels can be replaced, but I never understood why you'd do it to the frame. Looking at it from a structural standpoint, melting and poking little holes in the plastic will thin out the walls and maybe, just maybe fail later down the line. I'm sure most who've done it will disagree, but it just seems like a possibility.
Now I do modify the internals, but only slightly. My current FS9 has the new Apex looking factory sear and reset so it's staying completely stock. If the Compact I won on GB comes and is of the older type, I'll throw in the Apex sear I have on hand from the Shield I had and polish/round the striker block.

I like it, but you need more light or a flash to show off that OD.

Been looking into doing some stippling on my 9FS... fully capable DIY kinda guy but it makes me nervous not so much on the back grip bc obviously its replaceable not to mention i have two sizes to practice on ill never use... Really intersested in what you used jayman to get that effect seen ppl using things like allen wrenches etc and etc but my major concern is comfortability... really like the look of the grips jayman but doesnt strike me as very comfortable either way nice work

The only thing special on my 9c is some stippling from A2 stippling. I highly recommend his work.

This is my M&P 9c, I've stuck to performance mods for now, but soon I want to start mod'n the appearance. So far I have added a Burris Fastfire II red dot mounted on a dovetail base. I installed a HiViz fiber optic front sight post. I switched out some internals for an Apex RAM and Ultimate Striker Block upgrade. And last but not least, I mounted a Viridian C5L. She is coming along nicely and I still have so much I want to do. I'm gonna get a few more performance mods, but then I'm sending her off first chance I get to get some stippling and, if I can find someone, some machining on my slide. I don't even want to start thinking about colors. Take it in steps lol.

Here's my M&P 40. It has a Storm Lake 9mm conversion and a Burris FF III mounted on a Sight Mount rear sight.

BenJam2314,
How did you do the red insignia? I'd like to do something similar to my Shield.

The only modification I made to my 9L CORE was the Apex polymer kit. Nothing external. My FS9 and 9c are stock (except for the 2000 round trigger job )

See page one of this thread.......A2 Stippling. Awesome work and a great guy. I think he might be deployed right now but he is always taking orders and might have some stuff still in stock that he can ship.

Do you mean the yellow dot on the front sights? Those are Trijicon HD night sights.

Yes, no, maybe... it all depends. My my concealed carry and personal defense pieces I leave pretty much stock. These guns I view as tools. I may smooth up the stock trigger, ad a finger extension to a magazine on a subcompact or upgrade sites if I feel it would be helpful but I don't do 'bling' on these guns. I figure I wouldn't nickle plate my framing hammer so why dress up my 'work guns'. Besides, I'm not sure how that might play out in a court of law if I ever was involved in a shooting.
My target and hunting guns are a different story. I'll do mechanical mods. such as after market triggers, springs, sites or optics, even barrels to enhance performance. I also like to dress these guns up a bit with fancy stocks, etc.
So it all depends on what gun your talking about and it's intended use.
