Default My Shield Arrives Tomorrow From S&W

I posted the other day about my Shield having extraction issues and ejection issues. (Purchased in May) I've got the email it'll be here tomorrow. I called S&W and asked what'd they done to it.
"Polished three places". Well, I've got 300 rounds ready to test
it. One returning issue and it goes back. I'm really hoping it'll be
great. Why? Then I'll purchase a Shield without the manual safety. If not? Glock 26 4th Gen. I don't think think I'll like it being so
fat. But, I pack and what I pack has to go bang.
I'll likely get out on the desert this weekend. I'll keep everyone
posted.
Really hoping that Shield will be a shooter! Really like it.

It is nice but it sounds like he doesn't want safeties. The Ruger has both a mag and manual safety.

Curious, how long did they have it to fix it?

I really need to take my M&P 9mm to the range. Not been in ages...

Default How Long to Fix It

Sent my Shield back and tomorrow will be a couple days over
two weeks. Not bad. Just hope "polishing in three places" corrects the random failure to extract and ejecting all over the place.
Polishing? Maybe.
I hope the two issues are corrected. I like to have two pistols of
the same kind__in case of something like this.
Just called my supplier today and forgot Monday is a holiday. I informed them I'd be ordering another pistol and checking that all of my LE IDs were still current as well as my FFL holder was still listed.
By Tuesday I'll know if I'll be ordering a second Shield or buying
one of those fat pistols__Glock 26 4th Gen
Liked everything about the Shield accept those two issues.

I had the same issue. They initially just polished the feed ramp but that didn't work. The fix was S&W replacing the guide rod spring and barrel altogether. No FTF problems after that.
