Default Early unlocking

I see some posts where they talk about early unlocking causing vertical stringing of the rounds on target. Is this with the full size model or all the 9mms. Earlier ones or current. I have the m&p9c and Im slowly getting better with it. Can you tell from the serial number when it was manufactured. And if the compacts have this problem. Thanks for the time Im starting to like my pistol a little more now.

I can tell you that it does not appear to be a problem with my full size. At a measured 15 yards from a sitting position. I can keep under a 1.5 inch group pretty consistantly with 10 rounds loaded in the mag. I do have some flyers but I attribute that to me or the trigger (or a combination of both). My only real problem is that the rear sight is just slightly off center to the right and so my groups are printing about 1.5" right at 15 yards and as the distance increases so does the drift right.
