Smith and Wesson turn around time
After 2 weeks I sent my new 45fs to S&W for multiple FTF. Just curious as to what others have experienced for turn around times. Also, if anyone else experienced this problem and how it was resolved from the factory.
Thanks

I had a barrel problem with my new Shield....it was gone exactly 3 1/2 weeks, and they replaced the barrel.

2 days shy of one month when they had my 9c for a sight issue (it was sitting way left) - they replaced the sights and sent me a few mags for my trouble. This was in early March.

My wife sent her LCP back to Ruger a few years ago, they fixed her gun and sent her a hat. I didn't get a hat, mags or anything...........just my luck.

Sent my Model 60 in for a wobbly yoke on May 25, just got it back today, two weeks later. Fixed and fine and satisfied.

Will I get an email prior to them sending it back to me so I know when to expect it and what they did?

You'll get a FedEx shipping notice. The explanation of what they did will be in the return box.

I sent my 586 in for a recall repair via Fedex with a S&W mailing label they sent me overnight. A week later I got a card from S&W saying that my gun would be shipped back to me in 3-4 weeks. Two days later I had a Fedex notice that said they had a package requiring my signature. I called Fedex and made arrangements to go pick up my mysterious package. It was my Model 586 shipped back from S&W, repaired.

I sent my 45FS back twice, the first for a rolled pin working its way out at 800 rds and the second time for a 5000+ round checkup. Both times turn around was something like a week and a half. Both times the pistol came back and a I am satisfied. I carried Glocks for years and after becoming an armor, fixed and maintained them myself. The first issue was caught early and never led to a malfunction. The second, the recoil spring seemed to be getting tired, as can be an issue with all pistols at that approximate round count.

I have a 39-2 that I sent in for ejecting issues...they've had it for five weeks, and no word other than "it's up in the repair section" when I asked on May 29th...
