I purchased the 40 shield on Friday and went to the range today. I ran 50 rounds and noticed something I didn't catch when inspecting the gun at the store. The front sight was off. it was shooting slightly left. I will have to see if the gunshop has an adjustment tool and get them to bore sight it for me. Half the front sight dot is gone. I have a spare to replace it with from my full size. I plan to get new sights anyway so I am not tore up about it, just a little disapointed in SW quality control.

I was pretty happy with the accuracy after I adjusted for the sight. I ran all 50 rounds at 21' and had reasonable groupings for a new gun. By the end I was getting nice groups. I still shoot better with the 40c. So I guess that means I will just have to practice more

My LGS installs so many night sights for M&P owners that they just gave me an extra set of the regulars. Was the white paint missing from the front?

Yes, about half the white paint has come out. It is still visible but its dull now since part of the white is gone. Makes target aquisition harder. I was planning on getting better sites anyway but it ticks me off.
