i bought a glock 30 over the m&p 45c.
I'm definitely new to MP pistols as the Shield is my first. I love it. Today I went looking for a polymer 45 .. it came down to the glock 30sf. MP 45c . Xdm 45c. I was gonna get the MP 45 but the trigger killed it. It felt awesome in hand I might say. The g30 although its 5.5 this one felt like 4.5 yes every once in q while I get flocks whose trigger feels better than my other standard glocks. And well the xdm. 45c was just over priced. I usually end up selling off my xds xdms. I'm a big MP fan now but couldn't pick the MP 45 sorry MP faithful.

No shame in getting the G30; I think the .45 caliber Glocks are in a league of their own. My G21 was my primary carry and IDPA gun for the last 2 years until I switched over to the M&P platform. You've bought yourself a fine weapon that will give you several lifetimes worth of service!
I'm now officially an M&P nut, but I will always like and respect Glocks and especially their G21/G30 models. Excellent choice.

i too bought a glock 30sf this year. i own an xd 45 compact also. the 30 sf is a masterpiece of rugged simplicity. an ugly duckling to say the least. i know for a fact it will go bang almost without fail if i ever need it. don't like the trigger, mags, or sights, but i would bet my life on it, and do daily. no shame in getting one. i wear mine at work and trust it.

Very fine pistol indeed. I like the trigger with the Ghost kit installed as well as the standard Glock sights. I don't care for the blocky feel of the grip. The pistol is too bulky for me. I personally prefer the ergonomics of my 45C with the Apex Tactical DCAEK installed. But preferences are personal. If it fits your needs and desires, you can't go wrong with the reliability of the Glock.

Went out to stores looking for a 45. I started out with a Glk45sf then onto a regular frame Glk30 even better (and I have medium size hands so I would of thought SF would of worked out better) I then checked out a M&P45c and loved the feel. I do not really see the issue with trigger, but I hear that it takes a few hundred rounds to get trigger broken in. If I find it is a issue and does bother me I will try the Apex kit I guess. This is my first S&W semi auto as I have owned all Glocks since 1988 including the 17,19,23,26 models, I will say this the Glk 30 are wider then I personally liked. Hoped I made a good choice.
