Are there any owners that have both the 9mm and the 40cal that have swapped the 40Cal barrel with the 9mm barrel? Is there anyone willing to try that? I Know that Smith and Wesson says no, but you would expect them to. I know that no one would want to risk their warranty, but maybe just a visual inspection of a swap would yield some insight.

If I would have read more CLOSELY I would have seen the question is about the SHIELD, and I answered for the M&P standard, big size, whatever we're calling them....

Really, 1000? Sorry, I am aware fully that this can be done with the full size or compact M&P, but I don't see any confirmation for the Shield. Per my original question, I am not asking for opinions, although opinions are welcome. I asked if anyone had done this with the Shield.

I had just replied to a M&P standard or regular or whatever we call the bigger brothers of the Shield and somehow I didn't see your title saying Shield in it. You didn't change that now did ya?

TONS of info on the M&P line, I haven't seen anything on Shield swaps yet. I did see one thread where someone asked if he could swap Shield and regular M&P barrels though....
