I've been trying to solve an ejection issue with my FS 9 and after trying a few things (suggested here and by the armorer at the range) I called customer service. They were quick to send me a shipping label, but I'm a little unsure about sending it in. Has anyone recently sent a pistol in? If so how long was was it out of your hands? Should I keep trying to solve the problem on my own or let S&W take it from here?
It's been a while since I posted the issue but the ejected cases used to go over my right shoulder (about 45° angle) and land about 8-10 feet away. Now they come straight back and hit me in the face/forehead and much weaker (about 5k rounds through it). Tried several different ammo types (which also work great in my other guns), deep cleaned everything even taking off the extractor to clean anything under it, tried a new recoil spring (which was the only spare part I have). So if it was you - would you send it it? I bought it new so it has the original warranty.
