Has anyone attempted to use a holster meant for a CS9/40 with a Shield?? A friend at my local range claims its a great fit.

My friend uses a Glock 26 holster for his, and it fits great. I imagine there are a lot that would fit it that aren't listed as a match.

Reference GLOCK 26 holsters: If it is a generic "fits this sized auto" style of holster, a GLOCK 26 sized holster can generally work. For instance I have a BLACKHAWK! IWB size 5 which lists it fits the GLOCK 26 and my Shield also fits nicely.

However, I've got other holsters specifically built for my GLOCK 26 in which the Shield will not fit. Although thinner, the Shield is slightly taller from the bottom of the trigger guard to the top of the slide. This hangs it up on the GLOCK sport combat holster and my Crossbreed Glock 26 holster.

I hope so (actually, I hope it's the other way around). There will be new Shield holsters coming out, where as I can't find a holster I like for my CS9. If they are interchangeable that would be great.
