Default Ultrasonic cleaning question

Not sure whether to post here or gunsmithing section so mods please move if better for there.

Bought a Lyman 6000 ultrasonic unit for cleaning cases and 1911 parts.
I'm fine with the slide and barrel but can the polymer frame be put in there? I'd love to get all those nasty little crevices cleaned out.
Thanks

IMO Plastics are funny, They have a shelf life and the newer ones are just to new to really no much about them.. if just the polymer frame is going in to the US cleaner. I would use good old dish soap. It will emulsify the grease and grunge and be safe to the plastic. Don't think I would use anything stronger then that at this time... Just my opinion though! George
