Default Decision made 357 or 40!

I decided today that the 357 SIG is the best caliber and now am carrying it instead of the 40 Shield or 40 Compact. I now carry with an IWB Minotaur with the 357 barrel from S&W, it is both reliable and accurate and I trust this weapon, you can form your own opinion but I want a weapon that if I have to use it will only take at most two shots, even with body armor it will knock most any size man down with one good hit which I can do easily with this weapon!

Keep your 9mm and 45's but with a 357 I am convinced that I will put you down if you attack me and rather quickly. for home defense except for a 12 gauge there is no better choice to neutralize the threat of an intruder!

I hope if you ever need to draw your gun that the bad guy gives up before a shot is fired!!!

Are you using a converted .40?

.357 SIG is not the same as a .357 magnum, and I don't see much difference between the .40 S&W over the .357 SIG. Not to mention ammo being harder to find and probably more expensive (I don't own either caliber).

I'd say .40 just cause it's cheaper ammo that's also easier to find. If you want get the .40 and .357 barrel. I certainly don't think .357 is a bad round, just pricey and availability of the ammo you may want (federal HSt) is not always easy to find

I really like 357sig, but I don't carry it exclusively.

I like all calibers. My EDC is a M&P 357c but I also have a .40 barrel for it. Also like my 45 Sig Compact but the M&P goes with me most of the time.
