Default Trijicon HD/Shield

I have seen this done but I have no response from the OP.
Does anybody know who will install Trijicon HD night sights on my Shield. Trijicon says they do not make them for that model but they do for other M&P pistols. Is machining involved? These sights look like a cross between XS Big Dots and standard three dots with a wide notch for us older folk. They are expensive but look to be worth it.

I really like these too. I hope they will make them for the Shield without having to modify

From what I have seen, they will fit....but will overhang a bit on each side. Anyone who has put them on will try to convince you that they look fine or even better that way.....but it just doesn't look right.

Someone has to come with a correct sight for the Shield. I am sure that there are plenty of people waiting for them.

Thanks for the comebacks. I thought the stock Trijicons would be a tiny bit big. I did call Trijicon and they have no plans at present for the Shield. This is your chance guys. Call or e-mail them and tell them to make them.

I do know Ameriglo is coming out with a Shield specific sight. I am sure they will work fine.

From personal experience I can say that Trijicon HD's will fit on a Shield

Installing them, however, is something of a pain in the you-know-where! I took a chunk out of my el-cheapo sight pusher trying to install the front sight. And the worst part was that I had heated the area beforehand with my heat gun to insure that it wasn't being held by Red Loctite... and was pushing the sight VERY slowly and carefully in the direction of the ejection port. Oh well... sight got installed and the sight pusher got repaired.

Other option is Trijicon SA37.
My S&W Shield in 9mm with Trijicons SA37s....

Fits perfect and no snag on any of my holsters and looks like it was perfectly made for the Shield.

I had the standard M&P HD's installed at ATEi. He had to use a vise and a rubber mallet. I much prefer the step sights over the ramp because it will help with one handed racking for easier, faster clearing a jam. Looks and works fine for me. After all, the gun is a tool not a decoration.
