Default Strange dents on SHield 40 spent cases

Hi
I have a shield 40 which has been totally reliable and very accurate. (espically with the Win SXT 165grain ). I do notice on the empty shell casings a small dent on the case about 1/4" down from the top. It happens to every case thaty i fire. It HAS NOT effected its reliability at all. I just have not seen anything like this before.
Any thoughts
Thanks

Pics would help, but my guess is they are caused by case hitting the side of the ejection port.

Thanks, I kinda figured that. The dent lines up almost perfectly with the top of the ejection port. (just above the firing pin)
thanks

As long as they are not hitting you in the head I wouldn't worry about it. Different ammo may make a eliminate this.
