Very peculiar, was it just that one round giving you trouble? Maybe one of the rounds was out of spec... Maybe a batch of ammo is out of spec, I prefer HSTs but my 3 40s are currently loaded with critical duty, no hiccups for me.

It happened with several of them. could be 'bad batch'
I'm going to forward this video to hornady... see what they say. I already shot the ammo, but the proof is there.
I polished the ramp just now, but the pro I think already has a polished ramp? I made it mirror finish, but it was already decent.
not to mention after the ramp gets fouled up, it doesn't matter if it's got KY jelly on it. this happens after it got dirty. but only with this brand of ammo

have you tryed loading another way? Try pulling the slide back and releasing it, seems to be the normal way to load from that condition. If I'm not mistaken the manual recommends loading that way and does not recommend using the slide lock back to release the slide.

it does work that way.
I just never understood that. so much easier to load the weapon with one hand instead of using two hands. why can't they just make it so it works with the damn slide release?

Because it's not a slide release, it's a slide stop, according to manual you should slingshot to load the weapon.

I'm glad you mentioned this, I never slingshot, always use slide stop. I'll try to sling shot from here on out if that is what the manual recommends.

Yeah, I looked at the manual. it doesn't say not to use it, but it does say to slingshot it.

I think it's because it makes sense because with one hand, it's much easier to manipulate. (just let it ride forward right after the mag is inserted) but gotta use 2 hands I guess...
