I use the Minotaur MTAC it is superior to the cross breed which I have one but instead use an MTAC for my Shield. So I have two of them one for all my larger M&Ps and the one just for the Shield. Wearing them at 4 or 4:30 perhaps even 5 o'clock seems best. Look at post number 16 in the following link to see the difference between the Crossbreed and the Minotaur MTAC.
So many holsters!

Check out the White Hat Holster Max Tuck, I have been wearing mine for about 6 months now and have no complaints.

I carry my full size M&P9 in a Ross Leather belt holster model 19WNS. The holster hugs very close to the body. Just feels more comfortable to me then IWB holsters.

I agree with the MTAC. It is what my full size M&P 9 rides in.

I carry my 9FS in a crossbreed supertuck every day. It holds up well, has a great warranty, and is very comfortable. i'm 6'1" / 280#s. I wear my work shirts tucked in.

I am 6'3" 200lbs with a 33" waist. I conceal my fullsize 9 in my Comptac MTAC with a t shirt everyday at 3:30 position incredibly well. My girlfriend only knows I carry because she hugs me.
The MTAC is by far the best kydex/leather option for IWB, totally adjustable, smooth leather against your skin, not raw hide. Replaceable kydex bodies and multiple clip options. It's the only way to go.

One caution of the MTAC, it doesn't look like it covers the beaver tail on the FS 9. If you have a round belly, that beaver tail will dig into your belly. I had a Galco and it was very similar in THIS aspect. I sold it and ordered a Crossbreed. No regrets.

I carry a full size S&W M&P 40 cal and I use the Galco Summer Comfort at the 4 o'clock position and it is both comfortable and conceals very well. I bought my IWB holster off the internet for $59.00 plus a small shipping fee. The holster price was very reasonable and it is made to the match your individual pistol model. You never really hear to much about the Galco holster but it does work for me. I also have a Fubus Elite paddel holster (OWB) for a change out but my Galco is still my go to IWB holster. You can always pay more for holsters but why? Basically, you just have to try various holsters at a dealer to see what feels best for you. PS: You say you are a large guy well so am I; 5" 11" and 245 pounds. Good luck and take your time, you don't want to end up with a drawer full of empty holsters that you will never use. Marty

I agree...the Crossbreed is by far the best IWB CC holster.
