M&P9C Holster Recommendations
After waiting 5 months for my Shield to come in , I decided to buy a 9mm Compact. Love that pistol. But now I need IWB and OWB holsters. What would you recommend?

I am a huge fan of Raven Concealment. Their Phantom modular holster is both an inside and outside the waist band holster, you just need to swap out the belt mounting hardware to change it from one to the other.
I have 3 Raven Phantoms along with their mag carriers and they are top notch in quality and service. There is a bit of a lead time but their holsters are well worth the wait.

I use the crossbreed super tuck, Galco triton and remora for iwb. I have a crossbreed snap slide and fobus paddle for owb.
I think I like the Galco triton the best.

IWB I use Theisholsters.com | Home | Custom IWB Holsters. Just got one for a M&P9c so now I have 3 different ones for three different guns.to say I like my Theis holsters would be an understatement.

I have been carrying mine in a DM Bullard Dual Carry for several years. What's nice is the fact that it can be IWB or OWB. I carry it every day. David is a good guy to deal with too. The main reason I initially bought on from him was because it was something different that nobody talked about. I have since purchased holsters for 2 1911's and an FN. Good stuff.

I like my CBST, but I just got a Side Guard Minimal Clip that I like a lot. It's very comfortable. I've got a UBG Regulator on the way---I'll let you know how I like it.

I carry mine iwb in a White Hat Holster Max Tuck made of horsehide and have no complaints. They just came out with a new one called the BaseMax that starts out just under $40 and an owb SideSlide that starts out around $46. You can take a look at them at www.whitehatholsters.com

High Noon holsters out of Florida. Nicely made and not too expensive if you use the Bare Asset or one of the not formed to your gun holster. They run about $28 + shipping and they are all leather.

I use a galco kingtuk with my 40c iwb. It's a knock off of the crossbreed.
I like it, it conceals really well.

I have a Crossbreed Supertuck for IWB that's really comfortable for all day wear with my M&P 40c. I've also ordered a Raven Phantom that will arrive tomorrow. I'm excited to try that one out for both OWB and IWB!

I carry my 40c in a Galco King Tuk. Conceals excellently, makes for a comfy carry and it is tuckable making it great for wearing dress shirts and slacks / suits. Got it on eBay for $45 or so shipped.

+1 on the Raven Phantom Modular. I have it for my Shield 9 and it's great as an IWB or OWB. Many options for it. Highly recommend Raven.

Thanks, Handlebar. I checkout our several email responses and decided to purchase a High Noon Sky High owb for my 9C. I'll wait for now until I get my Shield before buying the iwb.

Iave a Nate 2 professional for my Nano and one on order for my Shield.
For me, it's the best I've found. And they tell me they've tested it with big dot sights.

I also own a N82tactical Professional for my M&P40c. Awesome IWB holster. My priority was comfort and this holster delivers. The trigger guard is excellent and "locks" the pistol so there is no fear of it falling out. Some folks fret about speed to draw the pistol from this holster because it sits between the enitre pistol and your body. But, the more I practice with it, the less concerned I am about this. I wanted something secure and comfortable so I will always "want" to wear it.

I use a Galco KingTuk IWB, but carry it with a cover garment instead of tucked. I've found I can't access a tucked in pistol with any sort of speed.
The only time I use a OWB is at the range.

Recently started carrying the Galco Nemesis pocket holster for my 9c. Pretty sweet. But, once my Raven Concealment holster arrives, I'll probably be using it less often.

I carry my 9C in a custom IWB similar to a Galco Summer Special but nicer. Since I make holsters all mine are custom. They have to be comfortable. I am my own worst critic.
(My Glock 19 version, same as the 9C version but for the Glock)

IWB I use the Mamba from Concealment Solutions. For OWB I really like the stuff from Raven and Kaluban Cloak.

I can't figure out how to make a new thread. First time user, sorry have to use this thread. I'm a new gun owner, Shield 9mm. I have two holsters that I'm interested in, but only purchasing one. MTAC-Premier IWB Hybrid Holster by CompTac or Vedder ComfortTuck Combat Cut. I've seen and read reviews but still unsure. Does anyone have the Good, the Bad or the Ugly on these holsters?
