M&P 45C Stiff Magazines
And I do mean stiff. I have three and can't get the eighth round into any of them.
UpLula, HKS loader, patiently wait for the springs to loosen up or????
Inquiring minds (and sore thumbs) want to know...

Yeah they are stiff when new. Load 'em up and let them sit for a few weeks/months...

Same thing with my 45c. I have had it about a year now, and it is a little easier to load that last round, but it still takes a lot of pressure to seat it in the gun with 8 rounds in the magazine. Was worried how reliable the magazine retention in the gun would be, but it so far has been fine.

Same is true for my 9mm FS. Very difficult to load unless you use a loader. Spring seems almost twice as powerful as my other semi autos. I wonder if this is really necessary. If the mags in other similar guns are much easier to load, why does S&W make their mags so hard to load?

Stiff mag springs are your friend. I have a September '06 M&P9 FS and the first gen mag springs weren't that stiff and lost their stiffness quickly. My new mag springs are stiff but work well.
I still use my thumbs but people swear by the UpLula...

And the winner is...
UpLula. A bit pricey but in the long run I think I'll be happy I did it.
Thanks for the advice, folks. Great forum.

Mine were stiff too. I shot 300 rounds through them, then left them loaded for a month. Getting the 8th round in is still stiff, but not as bad as when they were new.
Check your mag springs to make sure they arent bent too, had one of mine come from the factory that way. S&W exchanged my mag and gave me 3 springs gratis.
