Default Need opinions on next M&P Model

Every since I got my M&P 9mm FS I have fallen in love with this line of guns and wanted to get a vtac model but now I have a chance to either get a 40 or 9mm vtac M&P for same price. Two sides I am fighting with is I already have a 9mm so I wouldnt have to buy a second caliber of ammo but if I got with the 40 I could always put a 9mm barrel in it correct? Is there anything else that I should be thinking of, the 40 caliber ammo isnt that much more expensive in my opinion. I will prob keep the 9mm with truglo sights as my ccw unless the vtac is that much nicer. Are there any pros and cons of choosing one over the other?

Sorry, but, while the vtac is nice if you already have a FS in 9 I would be looking at a compact for ccw. If your are sold on it I would vote for the 40.

I would like a V-Tac but I like the other advice. I already have a 40c with a 9mm conversion barrel and both the 9mm and 40 Shields. I don't yet have a full size and think the V-Tac might be the one to fill that void.

Thanks for the suggestions, I have tried the shield and compact models and my hands are huge and those are just too small to fit so I think for now I will just grab a 40 fs m&p and add tru glo night sights to it and save the extra money and get a vtac later on after I see which caliber I prefer but of course eventually one 9 a vtac 9 a 40 and a vtac 40 all sound like a good start to my collection. Thanks for the suggestions.

Did you try the compact with the finger extension. I changed all my flush mag bottom plates to the finger extension style.
Also there is the full size mag with the X-Grip adapter on the compact. Just a thought if you like the compact.

I did try one of the two with the extension it just didnt feel right in my hands just not quite the same as the FS, I wear a 9" bracelet and size 14 ring so that has a lot to do with it as well. This board is a wealth of knowledge and everyone is very quick to lend a hand so I appreciate all the help its just the compact and smaller shields don't feel right in my hands. Now the FS models all feel awesome so this is quickly becoming an obsession that my wife is going to kill me over.
