Default Factory M&P NS Compatibility

Traveling tonight so search is tough on IPhone. I can get a NIB M&P FS 9 that includes factory Trijicons for $455 +tx. I have a Shield 9 that I'd love to put those Trijicons on. I was thinking about buying the new M&P and then pulling the factory NS off the Full Size and putting them on my Shield. I've never messed with NS before so I don't know if they are compatible with the Shield. I was then gonna run the FS for IDPA and put a blacked out rear sight and Dawson FO front post. So, to the experts out there is it possible to put those factory NS off the FS and put them on the Shield? And based on the price of factory NS (which I have no clue what they cost) does the math work out financially to do so? Will i be ahead in the long run money wise? I can get a M&P 9 FS without NS for $398 so the one with factory NS only runs about $60 more.

The rear will not work on your shield.

Actually, it will. It'll just be ever so slightly wide. At least that's what I found when I put a set of like-new M&P night sight take-offs on my Shield. You can read more about what I did in this thread.

I did file the sides of the rear sight down so it would fit better, but it was very little.
