Default Ready for new 9mm semiauto ...had an M&P 9L

I'm shopping!
Happy Holidays, by the way!

It's a story! I traded my 9L to get my M&P 15/22 back. Lol!
What I am looking for now is a 'compact' or a 4.25" barrel M&P 9 - maybe a Pro Series. But, with that said, I have looked at about every option out there! Right now, I am considering the CZ P-01. I am also liking the price on the Ruger SR9. At about $100 less than the competitors, it's worth some consideration.
Locally, there is a shop offering their guns with no sales tax through the end of the year. And, they have the M&Ps, XDs, Walther PPQ, Glocks, and a lot more.

I might carry. But, mainly home protection, range usage. I am going to get my carry permit in the next couple of months. So; I want a nice Serpa holster or similar.
Ive read all the reviews, watched all the video reviews...

I have about $625 to work with.
I am open to your thoughts!

I have a Pro 9 and it's one of the best shooting, most accurate guns I own. I have around 600 rounds through it; flawlessly. The trigger is a little gritty but it's getting better. I talked to Smith and they claim it's a break-in issue. I think it's a manufacturing issue but it's still a keeper.

I had a ruger sr9 and it didn't work out for me; I have large hands and tended to pull it off center. Traded it for a 9c which worked out great for me.

$625? I'd buy an M&P9c for $399 and then a case of ammo.

Be patient, and find a used 3913/4 or 908 3rd gen model. If you don't think it's a keeper, PM me and I'll take it off your hands. I have yet to find a pistol that carries better, including the Shield that everyone is doing backflips over.

If you plan on concealed carry a large bit of the time, I'd go with the M&P9c. If you think it may get more range time than carry time, the M&P9 full size is hard to beat. You could also conceal the FS with an appropriate holster. I don't think you would be unhappy with any size of the M&P.
