New Shield! No Recoil!
After dealing with the recoil from the Keltec PF9 this shield is a pleasure to shoot. 1 small problem is that it shoots about 2-3 inches to left. When I put night sights on I will get this corrected. Thanks for all the info I have read on this forum!

I have the .40 and a 9mm bbl and with both my shots are like you said 2-3 in. left. I tried many things, adjusting grip, slow steady trigger pull, breathing pretty much everything. And this is from 3-7 yards. I have to have someone else shoot it and see if its me or the gun. (I'm a great shot with my XD's)

I have 2 9mm XD's and shoot both good. I think the sight is off a little on the Shield.

PLEASE youtube wall drills by George Harris. This is a great way to catch to see if you are flinching or if the sights move alot while the trigger is in motion.
I have both the shield 9 and 40, I overcame the guns shooting to the left by using my finger up to the first kunckle. In other words dont use the the tip of the pad of the finger use the entire pad. Its worth a shot

Must be the way you are holding and shooting it. 10 yards mine is dead on.

Good Shield 9mm
My Shield 9mm shoots left but it is me and not this fine weapon. The Range Master fired flawless groups with it. I shoot more accurate with the trigger finger pad and not the finger joint. I also hold it really tight on the range and it is not necessary. If I ease up on the grip, shot placement is improved. Owned it since April, fired 900 rounds on the range and never had a problem. My preferred carry choice. I have fired half a box of hollow point +P and use the other half for carry ammo. If you can find a Shield, buy it.

The sights can be off and the best way to see is by sitting and using a sandbag or similar rest. Taking careful aim and very slow constant trigger pressure, shoot a couple of mags at the target. Try to pull so slowly that when the gun fires it surprises you. That way you eliminate the pull or flinch. When you pull the trigger and know when it going to go boom, you may be causing pulls, pushes, and flinches, without knowing it. Even though you can dry fire dead still, those tendencies can come back with live ammunition. Once you've got a couple of mags down range, you can check the groupings and make any adjustments.
I've seen YouTube's HICOK45 flinch, when a round did not fire. So if he can do it, so can all the rest of us.

I also switched to the Shield from a PF-9 and I was initially shooting left too. All it took was an afternoon of Dry Firing. The trigger systems of these two pistols are completely different and I'd almost be willing to bet that you just need some dry firing practice too.

suggestion, force your hand high on the grip. to to check the POI from the POA. i know on a draw it is almost impossible to cram the web of the hand for a quick practice shot. from a OWB holster i`ve been trying to high grip on a draw using the left hand to cram the web of the hand. but w/ the shield it is close, and i have large hands. but @ 5 and 7 yds. 2" groups/ @ 15 yd. steel plates, 6" x 4", a good practice range time. 25 yd., 8" dia. and rect. plates swing good. try using front sight and practice point shooting. then after you relax while reloading the mags., try the 5 yd. bull. you`ll see you have inproved in a session. the shield shoots well.
