.40 still showing in stock for 530 bucks...quite a markup considering have heard dealer cost on these is approx 320 dollars.

Then tack on shipping and transfer fees and close to 6 bills

When I purchased the 9 earlier shipping was free. So that saves a little.

Not to take the thread off topic but has anyone that ordered a shield from D&L within the past two weeks recieved theirs yet?? Ordered mine on the 6th and they still haven't gotten it in the mail.

BTW they still have some in stock!

Order from D&L

Ordered mine the 5th of March from D&L and nothing yet at my "ship to" FFL.

UPDATED 3/14 - Called D&L around noon today (Thursday) to get update. They verified they had the FFL info for my local dealer & it was scheduled to ship today UPS 2nd day air I believe they said. He apologized for being behind in shipments due to volume. I will update this when/if received. Keeping my fingers crossed!

UPDATED 3/19 - Received call from local FFL
and shield awaits pickup. Will be picking up Friday 3/22.

Last Friday, they said that they were 5 days behind in shipping. I can almost guarantee that they were sending out more than just Shields given the present environment.

One thing everyone needs to check is that their receiving FFL sent over their license. D&L did not follow-up with mine, so I had to initiate and monitor that this was done.

I ordered March 4th and also not shipped yet. Called last Thursday, said they'd ship by this past Monday. Called again today (Wednesday) and said will ship tomorrow (Thursday March 14).
I am starting to wonder if these guys are toying with me.

Update: I eat most of my words. D&L finally shipped my shield and it arrived today 3/19. Total of 2 weeks to receive which is a little bit annoying considering $25 shipping.

I ordered mine from D&L on March 7th. My credit card was billed on March 8th and I received my Shield yesterday. The transaction was smooth and I didn't have any problems. I did call and confirm that they recieved my LGS's FFL certificate, but no problems at all out of them.

Yeah I called them the following day (the 7th)to make sure everything was in order, I was told yes it'll go out tomorrow and you'll have it in two days.. That was a week ago

I've had quite the runaround with D&L. I called several days ago and they said they were out of stock (despite people on this forum saying they had called and had been told they still had plenty of stock). They told me to call back this week, because they were getting more in. So, I called yesterday and they told me to call back later, because they would be receiving their shipment that afternoon. So, I called again, and they told me that they did have them in stock, but they were not accepting orders until the following day (today) and to call back and order then. So, I called this morning, and they told me they had them in stock, but would not sell them to me, because they wanted to keep them for their store stock. They said I could call again in a month if I wanted to. I checked their citysearch feedback reviews and they only got 1 out of 5 stars and horrible feedback. A lot of complaints and some people didn't receive their guns and had to dispute it with their credit card companies. I think I'll pass and go somewhere else. If anyone hears of a place in Georgia for the 9mm, please let me know!

More I hear about D&L the more I would steer away from them...don't seem consistent at all in their Customer Service.

Hate to stereotype but they seem to act like the electronic mail order stores in NYC. Place your order and then cross your fingers that you don't get screwed.

I called D&L, no more 9mm Shields in stock.
Interested in purchasing one or two.. to no avail.

OK - Life is full of irony! After 60+ phone calls I found a local shop that had them in stock. They could only hold one for me as long as I picked it up within an hour.

I drove there during my lunch break, and all other ones were sold by the time I waited in there, so I was not able to purchase two of them. Only .40s are still available. I thought about passing on it as price was more than expected but ended up purchasing anyways.

Hope it is worth it. :)

Now to look for holster, sights, and magazines.

Well, good news is that I haven't had another store call me about a different model. :D

For those who do not know the process for those electronic stores in NY/Philly...
a) Go into one store.
b) Get hounded by a sales person like you were covered in meat and he is a hungry wolf.
c) Go through the bargaining process on price.
d) Agree on price upon knowing that they have one "in stock".
e) Wait what seems like eternity as the sales guy whips out his cell phone and speaks Portuguese or Russian to his compadre on the other line. Probably a guy at the store down the road.
f) When you're about to say "forget it" after a 30 minute wait, some guy bolts in the front door with said product like he just hoisted it off a truck.
g) Come to find out that it is an open-box, missing something, or knock-off?

BTW, I still got my authentic (as far as I know) Sony mini stereo system from college. :p

As for D&L, I have faith that they will come through.
