Finger Extension Base Plate for MP9C
Just purchased an MP9C for my grand daughter and as usual one magazine had the finger extension installed and the other had none, so called S&W and reported the issue and they are shipping me finger extension for the 12 round magazine free of charge. Good for S&W!!!

That's normal. There's one 12rd mag with a finger extender, and a flush 12rd mag. My 9c came with the 12rd and the 17rd mag. A buddy of mine got the two 12rd kit, with and without the finger extender. I think you just snaked yourself a free finger extender from S&W.

Smith did that for me a few years back for free. Rec'd it in the mail a week later. I recently bought another 9c and needed a second finger rest. I was already submitting an order for some M&P 45 14 round mags from Midway USA, so I ordered a couple factory magazine finger rests from them for 1.99 each.
Not as good as free, but was very convenient since I was placing my order order late on a Saturday night.

I was told that I was the only one Smith ever charged for a finger extension. Now there are two of us.

LOL, reread his post, and you'll see that you're STILL the only one. (He didn't buy his from S&W)

He had me worried. I thought I was going to lose my unique status.

In NY I got 2 ten rounders in the box one with and one without the extended base plate. I ordered 3 additional 10 rd. mags with extenders and asked for another "pinkie parker" and was only charged for the mags. S&W did right by me.
As it turns out, I left one mag with no extender that I use if I want a slightly smaller CC option.

I called and asked for one as well, what kind of time frame does it take to get one? I live in northern Minnesota and am yet to receive it( 2 weeks later)

You should get it any day, took about 2 weeks (or so) to get mine.

I just called Smith yesterday to order a finger extension for my new 9c yesterday. The nice gentleman on the other end of the line said they would happily send it out at no charge.
Granted it is not a big part but still a very nice gesture in this day and age.

My LE model 9c came with 1 flat and 2 pinky rest. Almost would've rather had 2 flats since I usually carry it that way.

I know what you mean, when I carried my 3913, I had the pinkie mag in the gun and two flats in a custom pocket holster. Now the double-stack mags might be a bit too thick for a pocket holster and I may have to have a belt clip made for them.

I just got my extension today but it doesn't seem to work with the 10-round mag that I have. Does this extension plate only fit on 12-round mags?

When I talked to S&W about getting a extension plate, they made sure on which I had, apparently the 10 and 12 round mags use different extensions. Maybe you got a 12 rounder that won't fit the 10?

That must be what happened. I have another 12 rounder that already has the extension and it looks identical to this extension. The nice lady at S&W didn't even ask which capacity magazine I was going to use this on. I assumed from that the extension would work on any capacity mag. I was wrong. Anybody know where I can get a 12-round mag with flat baseplate for a reasonable price?

Before you put the second pinky parker on., have her shoot with the flat bottom mag and the extended mag. She may like it without the extension. I have big hands and I like the flat bottom better.
Some of the shield owners are saying that they shoot better with the 7 round mag over the 8 round mag.

Interesting! I just bought a 9c a few weeks ago and it came with only 1 pinky extender.
I'm going to call S&W and see if I can get a free one too!
