Costa hasnt had them in stock for a while, anyone know another place that sells the extended mag release?

As far as I know Costa is the only distributor of the Catalyst made by 21st Century Gunfighter. Even they don't carry it and recommend you buy from Costa Ludus.

Just out of curiosity, why do you want one? I find the mag release to be very well designed and located on my M&P 45. Do you have small hands?

Aren't you concerned that an extended release will allow the mag to be accidentally released when not intended?

Not at all an issue with the way this extended release is designed. Unlike the Glock (or any extended mag release) it doesn't jut out like some tower of shame for short thumbed shooters. If you've ever noticed how the stock mag release is contoured, it curves in toward the trigger to follow the shape of the grip. The Costa Catalyst angles out in the opposite direction. It's more of a ramp than anything else which gives positive actuation while maintaining a low profile near the support hand. I never feel it rubbing against my palm, unlike the Glock extended mag release (which I ended up sanding down to simulate the Catalyst and now it works perfectly). I use the modern isosceles fighting grip, btw.

My concern is not hitting it while shooting, it's while carrying. This sticks out far enough that it might be actuated by just riding in the holster. Maybe not, but that's what I was asking about.

So - anyone find one of these yet? Were they just a 2012 thing???
