got to throw my 2 cents in , this is like taking care of car you want the best oil. with that being said slip 2000 is worth the 14.00 but even better to me is weapon shield lube none better to me.
I use the proven method which has given me good results over the years.
Hoppe's No. 9 for the bore and to remove all powder residue from the frame and slide. Hard to get areas are with a soaking Q-tip. I let the Hoppe's No. 9 sit in the barrel for awhile and then repeat the process until I get clean patches. Inspecting the barrel for any fouling. Q-tips work well to clean the slides and rails. After everything is cleaned up I'll use Hoppe's No. 9 Gun Grease for the slide, rails, and barrel lugs, a thin film works best. A coat of oil down the barrel followed by a dry patch, I use Hoppe's No. 9 Lubricating Oil. After several thousand rounds I'll use a little J-B Bore Cleaning Compound, modest amount only.
Couldn't find the Hoppe's No. 9 Gun Grease in my area so I picked up some Pro Gold Lubricant as a substitute. Shooters Choice Bore Cleaner is also a good product.
Cleaner=Hoppe's #9
Oil=Mobil1 15w50-a quart bottle will last forever.
Grease=Valvoline bearing grease for rifle bolts and the cam block on my PX4.
