Thanks! It's grippy as hell. Reduced my groups by a 1/2" at 5-10yrds and even tighter with gloves.

May I ask how you stippled the piece? It looks very well done. Have you done this type of work before? Details...please. Pictures of the next one hint...hint...hint... would be great. Thanks for sharing.

Stippled my new Shield
Just did my fs 9 about 3 months ago. Other than that no training or previous work. Just a cheap solder iron and patience.

Just a curiosity, why did you stipple the frame by the rail?

For indexing of trigger finger and thumb on support hand. It helps to create a muscle memory if you will for proper grip. I did it on my fs9 a bit more aggressively.

I haven't been to the new Cabelas, it was my parents that had went there. They just happened to call me about a new deer rifle for my mom while standing at the gun counter. I asked them to see if there was a Shield in stock and there was a .40 and it was he last one. I jokingly asked them to wait the 4.5 hrs to get it. I about **** myself when they came to visit last weekend and they had bought it for me. I've been trying see one in person for a year and now I've got it. I wanted the 9mm only because I have a fs m&p 9 figured why buy diff ammo. But honestly the .40 shoots great. A lot less recoil than expected. Super easy to shoot. I was able to hit a pack of cigs at 20 feet 3 of 5 shots. Very happy with it.
Sorry for the ramble.
