Just picked up my new M&P 9mm FS from my LGS after about a 5 day wait for NICS to come through. Yep, I live in NJ. I am excited to get it to the range. I'm sure I made the right choice with the M&P line as my first purchase was the M&P 22, which is a delight to shoot.

Now to try and locate a few extra magazines for the 9. That is gonna be a tough thing to do. Has anyone located magazines lately, meaning the last two months? I am on many lists but not holding my breath. I'm looking for the 10 rounder for the M&P 9FS. Any tips would be appreciated. Glad the pistol came with 2 mags, unlike the 22.

Let us know how it shoots for you. The idea of finding magazines at this time may be too far-fetched but hopefully that will change in a few months. Hang in there. Good luck with the new gun.

Ordered two from Smith & Wesson Store 1/10/13 and our on the Fed X truck for delivery estimate of 3/7/13. Better late then never, I actually forgot too cancel order as picked up two at 44mag.com $29.95 each then two at LGS $34.99. Smith & Wesson charged $41.95 each have a total of eight now. Just too let you know how I went about getting my extras.

I hate to admit that I paid way too much for mine at a cost of $539. I know the prices are much lower than that if you can find a place that has them that is.

I did find two 15 round mags locally at $37 each, which is probably a fair price. So for now I have the 4, two 10's and two 15's. The 15 rounders will most likely be outlawed here in NJ at some point in time though so I'll continue to look for the 10's.

I bought my wife a 9mm FS for $539.00 from a ******** LGS who had posted on website for 499.00. However he stated that the site needed to be updated and this was a newer invoice that cost him more. The wife really wanted and we have been looking for some time so I ate my pride and paid for it. Get it home and the fire date on the test round 12/21/2011...... I was fuming mad. To make it worse I stopped at a small hole in the wall gun store and what do I see a FS 9mm for 479.00...... needless to say that first LGS has lost any future business from me and anyone I can tell about it.

That price isn't too bad considering the bump in all gun sales. I have one as well
