Its like that every single time i walk in. They tell me that they are selling them, but they arent flying off the shelf. Those Block mags below them seem to sell faster, lol.

Nice. I've been looking for extra mags for my .40 Shield but haven't come across any. It's not an emergency, but it's frustrating.

I bought a 7rd on the same day. Both 8 and 7 were the same price. Not a bad price for a LGS, IMO.

LoL, nah thats just some stuff my ole lady likes to stop and pick up from time to time. She tells me she has a "connection", but i think its more of her and her womanly ways. I keep telling her that we dont need anymore ammo, we have plenty. But she's managing to get them at non inflated prices, so I cant complain.
I actually bought those 3 maroon boxes of Federal 9mm 100rds the other night at my local wal-mart. Price was $8.97 a box, so I couldnt pass that up. I believe that price may have been a misprint, but I wasnt sticking around to argue.
If you guys want, i'll check the LGS tomorrow for the mags again. if they have them in stock, i'm sure they will be glad to sell them to you guys.

Smitty 357,how well do those UMC Metal Cases work out for you ?I have had real good luck with 115 gr. 9 Blazer Aluminium. I use them for range's that won't let you keep your brass. I got 3-8's from my LGS about a month ago. Nice to see them showing up.

Impact guns in Ogden, UT has Dozens of .40 and 9mm Shield mags with extensions. My dad picked up a few there for his .40.

They arent a steel case type as most people think off hand. I dunno why Remington uses the word metal case. I think its because of the actual projectile itself, having a particular coating. They shoot just as good as any brass, as ive never had any problems with them. I dont shoot any type of steel case ammo through my semi's. I only shoot steel through my AK and thats it. Here is a pic of my .40 ammo.

I ordered two from S&W directly, they are not marked "backordered" or "out of stock". However, I have not received them in over a month.

A LGS in Wichita has them in 9mm for $39.00. My guess they are in stock because no one around here has had Shields for some time.

Thanks folks!
Murphy28, you were lucky. When I called earlier in the week they just routed calls to a recording saying magazines were backordered.
Although a few weeks ago I went through the waiting stages for some 4006 magazines and called and was able to talk someone. They said "they were shipped yesterday." I went to my credit card statement and saw they were charged to me that day. I got them a few days later.
That being said, I'll just sit back and wait. (And check my credit card on-line daily I've always been happy with S&W and based on the above reports, I should get them in the not too distant future.
Thanks again folks!
Bill

LOL. Whenever I see shelves like that, I always joke that I'm "going back in time to Summer 2012."
Everywhere is pretty bare here as well.

Locally no issues getting Shield mags here. 44mag are good people, never did me wrong in the past. Sure wish full size mags were as easy to get. I have plenty but a few more would not hurt

I was price checking Magpul Magazine prices at Cheaper Than Dirt today just to see how much AR's and after market stuff have gone up.
Magpul, PMAG, AR 15 Polymer (no window) magazines are advertised for $89.97. We paid around $15.00 for the window version at a gun show in Lewisville, Tx around Sept. 2012. Wish we had bought a hundred!
Our S & W, MP, AR 15, bought around that time at C.T.D. with a EOTech halogen scope, many upgrades, including a nice case, and 400 rounds of bulk ammo cost about $1,800.00 total.
The whole package now would cost about $3,400.00 (not including ammo) at today's prices. Now I regret not loading up my credit cards!

Never had a problem with them on that part either. You can search them on google, they have good reviews all the way around. They are cheaper for some reason, but brass is brass IMO.
