Yea you know whats coming. I bought a M&P in 40s&w. Dark earth, night sighs/fiber sights with two 15 round mags. Like I need another gun. Apparently I did as I looked and said its mine. I've got to stay awayy from gun shops.

You need to run for congress. No self control is a prerequisite.

Enjoy

I know what you mean. I just picked up an M&P 45c. Did I NEED it?? NO! But I bought it anyway. It goes really well with my M&P 22, 9mm Shield, and M&P 9c.

Well then, I guess we both need to stay out of the LGS! I just put a M&P 40 on layaway! Making it my 4th.

Sad thing is my LGS's just are not getting stock in but then again I don't visit as often as I used too. Revolvers simply don't exist. I can see trips to Lubbock,Dallas and Houston are in order because there is nothing out here in West Texas..

You have what is described as "Smithimios Collectimios". The strain is of the MP variety. Highly contagous as it seems for there are several others on this site suffering from the same symptoms. To date, there is no known cure, but the outbreaks seems to ocurre in or around LGS's. Some sumize that it is related to direct/indirect contact with shiny black metal objects and they have noted to aroma of gunpowder during or immediately after suffering an attack. I believe the democraps are working tirelessly on a cure, but until then, enjoy your addition! Remember, I'm pulling for ya....we're all in this together!

Signed,
Bruce....aka fellow addict!

I buy when the deal comes along... Like 3 Shields for $1,000, or two S&W AR15s for $1500 (not Sports either!! ) .

Now I picked up a new 45c for $442 with three mags. A deal for sure! But I may sell it, not sure if I like it as much as the other M&Ps.

And the deals are out there. I paid full retail or close to it on my CORE 9. But my other 3 were deals.
Shield 9 brand new 419.99
M&P 9c ANIB 399.99
M&P 40 ANIB 399.99 with 3 mags total
Just can not pass up a good deal.

You are not alone in your affliction. Yes, you do NEED another gun. It's only a matter of time.

Staying away from gun shops won't help. The internet is your never ending source of fun stuff to buy.

Now that's just great. Its not good enough to be in treatment for S&W Revolveritis, along with a growing Ruger infection but now there is a M&P problem. And I thought Colts were a problem.

Its a crying shame that before you get 50 rounds through a new gun you come to the conclusion it needs the trigger replaced. If S&W whats me to purchase anymore of their new firearms they better step up the quality.

I've got a 9c that has less than 500 rounds through it and the trigger is really no worse than any other striker fired plastic pistol that I've shot.

Since I carry for self defense the 6.5 lb triggers on my M&P40 & 40C are just fine. The new compact's trigger is superior to the 4 year old full size. I polished the trigger bar on each & all or most of the grittiness went away.

With all the people posting about buying "unneeded" guns I feel I should invest some money in a gun store, lol.

My M&P9 was borderline ok but my glocks went straight to my gunsmith but this one is cr#p. I'm spoiled by the triggers on my revolvers I guess.

Taking a Glock straight to a gunsmith in order to try to turn a Glock or M&P trigger into a fine rolling DA revolver trigger or crisp SA revolver trigger is, well, like trying to make a pig sing. It is a waste of time (and money) and it annoys the pig.

Yep, that's how my newest M&P is... I can feel it in the USB. You would think if they honed the USB bore out just a touch, the trigger would improve ten-fold and they'd have even more market share!!!

Sigh.

It's a $500 gun, what do you expect? It's reliable and inexpensive. For defensive purposes it's perfect as it is.

Lost Lake,
I assume that by "USB" you mean the Striker Block? Apex makes a thing they call the Ultimate Striker Block.

You may have something though. Why not write a letter to S&W? Who knows, they may have already thought of it and decided it's too expensive. However, you may have a better way. Write to them, what do you have to lose?
