M&P 40 Pricing
I picked up my 40fs with 80 rounds of ammo $515.34 out the door. This was in MA so I had to pay .625% tax and it was in January of this year. Plus it came with 2, 15 rounders in the box. Someone screwed up although I have a high capacity license you are not suppose to get them in the kit.

Sounds like it listed for about $550 originally, which is normal. That's what you can expect to pay in store. Can you not find it at a gun shop so you can get out of transfer fee and S&H?

Suggested list was $569.00 on S&W website.

I'd say, in this climate $600 otd isn't a bad deal. Here in Ca I've seen your gun selling for that or more before all the other fees.

Thanks for the input. I am continuing my search. Started to scour the
Great state of NJ for a better deal. To try and save on all the extra fees. Best so far is a range package in 40 cal for 610.00 out the door. Gives me
Some hope for staying local.

That's the exact model # I was looking for. What I did find was the same model, but without the manual safety. Just bought it yesterday. Paid $495 at a licensed gun dealer.

$455 for an M&P 40C (same price listed for the full size 40) with 3 mags & Trijicon night sites. That's the LEO/Security/Military price at Streicher's Police HQ.

I know my 9 FS goes MSRP of $569 -- as does the 40. So when you add in a transfer fee (will usually be somewhere between $10 - $50) your "deal" was ok. Nothing to write home about, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
Not many people get the deal I got on my 9. Brand new, in the carrying case with two mags, with a 50 box of FMJ (figure $16) from a friend for $400.
