Default Loving the new M&P 9 FS

Got my 9 early this last week and took it home, broke it down and cleaned and lubed it good. Only had some 115 grain FMJ and was a little dissapointed in everything low left. Yesterday I picked up some 124 grain American Eagle and was pleasantly surprised. Made a huge difference. I added a parchman rubber grip to the medium backstraps just like my M&p 22 fits my hand great. Anyway these babies are a blast to shoot.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364730658.356081.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1364730674.454019.jpg

BTW, Hogue makes, or made, a grip for the M&P also. Its size is between the medium and large backstrap. There is a post on them somewhere on this forum listing pro's and con's.

More you practice the low left will improve. Try the other backstraps to see if your grip is a part of the low left issue. Also add a few snap caps to your mags to see if your flinching slightly when pulling the trigger. Good way to run malfunction drills at the same time to build musle memory.IMHO

I'm a little low left also. But as I am well within the circle, the guy is going down if it comes to it. I am not interested in competition shooting.

BTW -- everytime I read about target issues - it always seems to be "low left". I wonder if this just might not be inherent in most everyone's grip?

Sounds like low left is the equivalent to a slice in golf terms, Both can be corrected with practice.. I purchased a M&P 9mm FS size at a LGS still awaiting my CCW permit to be completed. I also have a new Shield 9mm at my FFL and a Beretta PX4 Storm .40 SW at another LGS ... So I will be all set once I have paperwork in hand..

The wife's first rounds from 7 yards. Just got a Bersa Thunder 380 this morning and she really likes it. The 9C didn't fit her hands well. This one does!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364749726.435741.jpg
