Default Caliber Question For M&P Pro Series

Hi All.

I am currently looking at purchasing another handgun. I would like to purchase a Pro 5", however, I have a few questions regarding the caliber.

I currently have a SW40C (Original Sigma Series). Being a .40, should I just get a Pro Series 40? Should I get a 9mm? Are there any "advantages" to a 9mm? Or should I get a 9mm to just have a 9mm? Am I missing anything? And yes, GL in me finding one!

Thanks in advance

I have two .40 XDs and a .45 1911. I bought the 5" Pro Series in 9mm because I want to shoot it a lot. Ammo is cheaper and it's softer on my bad wrists. I have had it for about 6 weeks and have about 700 rounds through it. It is very accurate. 5 shot groups from 25' inside of an inch. After installing an Apex trigger, USB, Sear, and RAM it is the closest thing to my 1911.

Buy the .40 and give yourself the option of buying a 9mm barrel and some 9mm mags to do a quick conversion. That way you end up with a 5"pro series that you can shoot both .40 and 9mm out of with a simple swap.

Where do you find 5" barrels? I don't see them at Midway.
