Ammo Shortage?
Very real. Did not take seriously until I realized I was low on .45. Spent weeks looking for ball ammo and nada. Today, went to a Big 5, which opens @ 10 am at 8 am. I was like # 40 in line..... Caught up in the hype I was lucky enough to score a box of 100 Winchester rounds for $65.....

I bought a 1000rd case of AE9DP - last week - for $400. That works out to $20 per box of 50.
Not bragging...just saying the prices are coming down and if you look around you can find ammo.
BTW the same dealer had 1000 round cases of AE45A in stock for $475 plus shipping...

Bought 750 rounds yesterday at Wal-Mart. Here's the rundown:
2 bricks of Rem UMC .40 S&W 180 grn FMJ @ $89 per 250 which = $18 per box of 50.
1 brick of Rem UMC .45 230 grn FMJ @ $107 per 250 which = $21.50 per box of 50.
I'll accept those prices for that particular ammo so I'm a happy camper. Too bad I didn't get there early enough to get any 9mm.

Where are you? I've never seen 250rd packs at any Wal-Mart I've been to. Really need to find some .223 in bulk for the new M&P-15 I'm picking up tomorrow.

Everything around here is pretty much back to normal. Well except for the prices of .22LR.
As of now, its cheaper to shoot the AR and leave the 15-22 at home. .22LR is the only thing we cant find on the shelves by the masses.

Walked into Cabela's the other day bought 350, 40S&W rounds in an ammo can. After taking off for the ammo can and my 5% military discount worked out to be $.40 per round. Went to LGS and purchased 100 45ACP for $40. Ammo is available from time to time and it is getting better. I went to local WalMart and saw the same 6 boxes of ammo on the shelf I have seen for the last 6 months, have yet to find anything there????

I've been getting them at Dunham's Sports occasionally.

If that was lucky then I'd hate to see what your bad luck would look like...

Where do you live? .22LR can't be found here at any price.

I was in a Walmart yesterday to pick up something I'd ordered online through its ship to store. Ran by to get some .22lrs. Had no .22s and case was nearly empty. Asked the guy when to expect more and he said they just got a shipment the afternoon before and the case was full. All they had was 3 boxes of .38 specials and a few .380 along with shotgun shells. I bought the .38s.

Things are getting better here in Kansas. I visited two Walmarts last week. They had more than I've seen in months. One Walmart even had Tula 223 ammo. Neither had 22lr though. I talked to one of the workers. She told me things are getting better and that the shipments are staying longer on the shelves. Baby steps!

Robotech,
Could you post a pic of the barcode?
I've been trying to find these at my local WW for a while now without any luck.
Thanks
