Default Shield M&P Spring Problems

Just bought my M&P 9mm Shield a few weeks ago, and the spring seems off. If your roll it, it doesn't roll flush, and you can push it against the metal.
I cleaned it before taking it to the range, and out of 100 rounds, I got two casings jam in the gun. I put this down to breaking the gun in, and took it home and cleaned it again.

Back from the range yesterday, and another 100 rounds, and two more jams. The shell stick in the ejector, and I have to physically lock the gun, to remove it. With the spring being tight, and barrel hot, it's not easy.

I emailed S&W and figure I won't hear till Tuesday with it being a holiday weekend. Does this sound like a problem with the spring, or something else.

Thanks in advance.

Please take a look at the "Safety & Instruction Manual" that came with your M&P Shield. On page 12 and continuing through the manual are descriptions, terms and images that would be helpful to use in explaining your problem. Is it the Recoil Spring? Is the fired case "stove piped" in the Ejection Port? Using common terms will help greatly in finding a solution to your problem.

Perhaps your ejector is bent or missing. Check page 23, figure 28. The ejector is the small forward facing pin sticking up on the right top rear of the frame. What ammo are you using? There's some junk being sold today. 200 rounds with 4 jams could be just a matter of wearing in.

Thanks for your help. I'll take a look through my manual, and come back to this thread.
